Revival of the "Hall of Fame" Page

Ava is currently trying to revive the Hall of Fame page. And then I said I'd try to make a template (I now realize how stupid that was since I've never made one of those before). I was able to format a table so that looks decent enough though. Please say which of the two types you like the best and also suggest improvements.

  1. This:
サリシノハラ
Romaji (English): Sarishinohara (Distant Fields)
Producer(s): Mikito-P (music, lyrics), CHRIS (illust, video), Tomodachi Boshuu-P (mix, mastering)
GUN SHOUT!
Producer(s): Madaco (music, lyrics, video, logo), Yudukikei (illust)

2. Or this:

Hatsune Miku songs in the VOCALOID Hall of Fame
Title: サリシノハラ
Romaji (English): Sarishinohara (Distant Fields)
Producer(s): Mikito-P (music, lyrics), CHRIS (illust, video), Tomodachi Boshuu-P (mix, mastering)
Title: GUN SHOUT!
Producer(s): Madaco (music, lyrics, video, logo), Yudukikei (illust)

Also, keep in mind that there are currently over 2,000 videos with the VOCALOID Hall of Fame tag on niconico. That's why some things need to be addressed before everyone starts adding songs to the page:

  • Sorting: Sort by upload date, date song reached Hall of Fame or no sorting at all.
  • Selection: IA's cover of "Shiryoku Kensa" has reached over 100,000 views and has the VOCALOID Hall of Fame tag on NND. It's the same with Len's cover of "Tokyo Teddy Bear" and Miku's cover of "Torinoko City". There are also several fanmade PV's with the tag as well. Should they be on this page, either separated by having a a different/darker background or a label/sign which signifies "this is a cover/fanmade PV"? And if a fanmade PV has reached the Hall of Fame, while the original hasn't?

There's probably more which I can't recall at the moment, but I think I've brought up the most important parts.

Should mash-ups be labeled as covers?

0

Um...no, unless they are made of covers..?

0

Well they technically are not originals. but I think putting them in original are okay because people will see it's not a single unmashed-up song, if they see the title.

As in writing as the title: Uraomote Lovers x Rimokon

or something like that.

eeeh, no they can't be put in originals if they are not. They can always get their own category..

I've only encountered this problem so far with the Kagamines mash-up of "Paradichlorobenzene" × "Antichlorobenzene" and "Migikata no Chou", where both versions are originals. There are also mash-ups with both the original and covers of the same song.

I think might be best if they get their own category as well.

[I don't know how original they are, but that's just how I saw it...]

As in, a new tabber thing? Would be good, I think? o.o

But more as an optional tab, I'd say, because mashups that get into HoF are not that common, I think. It won't get unconsistent by doing it optional, imo.

Edit: Defining Original: Maybe everything that can get a songpage in the wiki is original, and everything else [song derivatives] are not.

Covers of songs that were not originally Vocaloid songs, can get a page here though.

I'll only put the tab on duet/trio/group pages then.

I label songs as originals if they have the tag on NND. Remixes and arranges which no "original" tag are put in the cover section.

"Covers of songs that were not originally Vocaloid songs, can get a page here though." I don't know then... ヽ(´ー`)ノ. yea probably the thing with the original tag is good, though some might not be tagged as? But that should be quite rare idk...
