BackgroundEdit

Here is an uprising, the divine wind blows. This is a story that I heard on a certain early summer's day.

This song was uploaded onto Nico Nico Douga on October 20, 2012. Since then, it has received over 100,000 views.

The song is set in World War II with a boy and a girl in love; the boy has to go to war and the girl is left to worry for his sake, from weeks to months. She expresses her concern for him throughout the song, and in the second verse she receives a letter from him telling her he is part of the special suicide mission, "Kamikaze." At the start of the song, she says, "Ware wo fukitataku kami no kaze." Take note that she says "kami no kaze" that foreshadows the song's plot. Breaking into tears, she knows he will die. The ending is unclear, though depending on one's perspective it can be told differently. A popular interpretation is they both end up dying, but they are happy to meet each other again in the afterlife, as in the PV they are shown to be reunited.

This song is featured in the album Yoen Waso Emaki.
