BackgroundEdit

"Kagamine Hachi-Hachi no Kassen" was first uploaded on December 2009 as a part of the Kagamines' 2009 anniversary celebration. It is Moja-P's fifth Vocaloid original work, and overall his most notable work with over 450,000 views to date on Nico Nico Douga. The song has reached the Nico Hall of Fame (requiring over 100,000 views), and it is Moja-P's first work to do so. The song is featured in the rhythm game Project DIVA f, along with two modules designed by melou.

"Kagamine Hachi-Hachi no Kassen" tells a story of a "card flower battle" between Len and Rin. The two met and "fell in love", and so started their gambling game. Many parts of the lyrics reference the game, which was said to be relatively popular in the Edo period.
