Cheerful JAPAN! was a fund raising event designed to raise money for the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami relief, a small part of the sale of each figurine went to related charities. Crypton Future Media, Inc. was one of several companies who joined in the promotion.

Trivia
- The standard Nendoroid Hatsune Miku came with the addition of several props.[1] The Nendoroid Kagamine Rin/Len were made by Ageta Yukiwo and Nendoron- they were released during 2012.[2][3]
- The Cheerful vers. Miku was made by Kiking, it was released in 2012.[4]
