Cheerful japan logo

Cheerful JAPAN! was a fund raising event designed to raise money for the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami relief, a small part of the sale of each figurine went to related charities. Crypton Future Media, Inc. was one of several companies who joined in the promotion.

The cheerful model of Miku by bun150 was also re-released in light of the 2016 Kumamoto earthquakes.

The Miku Nendoroid was also announced to re-released in August 2018, this was because of the number of disasters that had impacted Japan during 2018 since April 2018. These disasters were some of the worst since the Heisei period begun some 30 years prior. These included the 2018 Hokkaido Eastern Iburi earthquake, Typhoon No. 21 Heisei, the Osaka earthquake, the 2018 Japan floods and the Shimane prefecture earthquake. The re-released Miku will be shipped in Jan 2019 and is based on the Miku 2.0 Nendoroid this time around.[1]
