Kobayashi Matcha (小林抹茶) is a main character in Project 575.

HistoryEdit

Matcha first made her debut alongside Azuki in the game Utayomi 575; an iOS app which featured her VOCALOID voicebank, released 26 July 2013.[1]

Her next appearance was in Uta Kumi 575; a PS Vita game released on 23rd Jan, 2014, This game utilized her voicebank to sing.[2]

Matcha also appears in GO! GO! 575; an anime for the project.[3] A manga and novel is also planned.

ConceptEdit

ProfileEdit

Her birthday is September 13, she's a Virgo, and she has a blood type of AB.[4]

Matcha is described as being a bit of an introvert who is cool, calm and collected. She hides her emotions and is quite blunt as her words are sharp and hurtful. In her spare time, she likes making fanzines/doujinshis.

In Go! Go! 575! she is shown to be quite the avid book reader and is often seen reading one throughout the show. It's also shown that she believes in, and are afraid of, evil spirits. Matcha seems to be fond of cats and was seen talking to one in "cat speak" in episode 2. Both she and Azuki seem to be oblivious to Yuzu's "fantasies" of the two.

EtymologyEdit

Kobayashi Matcha's name refers to a finely powdered green tea, making allusion to her hair color and overall color scheme.

AppearanceEdit

Matcha was illustrated by Hiro Kanzaki, thus, having a moe style and rounded features characteristic of the illustrator. She has waist length, straight green hair and uses a pair of trademark skull hairpins. Due to her background within the game, she is usually depicted in casual or school-related outfits.
