Since 2004, several concerts or live performances have taken place using VOCALOID software. Concerts today feature a VOCALOID vocalist projected onto a screen to make it seem like they are there in person. On the stage with them is a live band as well as back-up dancers in some cases.

Polyphony Studio 5th Anniversary Concert

The very first "live" concert done with a Vocaloid used Zero-G's Miriam. The concert was held in Novosibirsk, Russia, in the Main Concert Hall of State Philharmony. This 4-hour event was called "Polyphony Studio 5th Anniversary Concert" and featured well known Russian bands, choirs, orchestras as well as Miriam. She performed "Sad Mondays", originally by Dr. Ravi E. Dattatreya, with live musicians. She was not projected onto the stage in any shape or form, instead Ekaterina Basalaeva and Olga Sheina danced during her performance.[1]

A small mini-MMD concert took place in Nico Nico Douga Daikaigi 2011 Japan Tour, With Miku and Rin performing a couple of songs.[3]

Miku, Beyond the Character

This event, titled "Miku, Beyond the Character: The Cutting Edge of Miku Miku Dance Software", was the first live performance with AniMiku. It was held at MIT. The event was broadcast over Nico Nico Douga and various other TV station from Japan. Ryotaro Mihara, Masataka-P and Ian Condry were also present. The presentation includes a demonstration of a prototype projection of Miku live, and a screening of an abridged version of Mikunopolis. It was followed by a keynote lecture by Hiroyuki Itoh (president and CEO of Crypton) titled "Miku, Virtual Idol, as Media Platform: Transforming Media Creativity".[4][5][6]

Takarazuka University's annual Hōshō-Sai campus festival announced on July 30, 2011, that they were to host a live concert by the virtual idol Hatsune Miku during the September 18–19 event.[7][8]

A Virtual Vocaloid concert took place in Mexico City's "Expo TNT" using Arisa Mitsuko, a fanmade Vocaloid.[9] The case continues and is now being reviewed by Crypton Future Media and Team Twindrill. Reappeared of this Vocaloid Live in Wacken Open Air 2013 and the beginning of the Anthrax, with the new song "Fight 'em till you can't"

Wacken Open Air is a Summer Live Project DIVA 2013 February 6 will includes a Testament - Seek and Destroy (MetallicA Cover). It was a MikuWacken 2013 was heavy metal band apparently of Anthrax, Testament, Slayer, As I Lay Dying, Chevelle, Disturbed, Fear Factory, Killswitch Engage, Chimaira, A Skylit Drive and Megadeth. Miku, Rin, Len, Luka, Kaito and Meiko all appeared in the Wacken Open Air 2013 and Departure to the W.O.A. 2012.

Durning the End of MikuPa. A new named called ASPECTS is a groove metal and power metal. Contained up DragonForce and Chimaira band from the Sanctuary, Nuclear Blast, Ferret, Spinefarm, Roadrunner and E1. Miku, Rin, Len, Luka, Kaito and Meiko appeared from the Rio de Janeiro in Brazil. During set this (World Ablaze from Killswitch Engage).

After the end of the ASPECTS, leaving DragonForce and uses the 4 Albums in the living for New York. This uses 18th songs including The Venom Inside, The Machine, Resurrection, Coming Alive, Six, All That's Left Is Blood, Secrets of the Dead, The Flame, No Mercy, Frozen In Time, No Reason to Live, End It All, Try to Survive, Black Heart, Destroy and Dominate, Born In Blood, The Age of Hell, Clockwork and Samsara.

Miku-UK Project (shortened to just UK39) is a concert that was held at Passion in Sunderland city center during SunnyCon. Rehearsals and announcements were uploaded on their offical YouTube channel. This concert was officially backed by Crypton.[21][22]
