    • For as many votes that Androgynous got, the Vocaloids that have this type of vocal are not popular.

Does Vocaloid even HAVE any genuinely androgynous vocals in the first place? (VY1 and VY2 don't count because their voices are still feminine and masculine)

Iroha, Piko, Rana, flower, and Lola

Without popular producers and illustrators boosting them up they tend to fall out of favor within the fandom.

Um...I don't think any of those except Piko and Flower would count as androgynous. Iroha and Lola are still feminine vocals despite having deeper voices. Rana is obviously a feminine voice, I don't see what's androgynous about her other than her accent supposedly being tomboyish.

If none of those vocals (though I haven't heard Lola's) had box illustrations or character designs, and you only had their raw voice, IMO a few of them would definitely sound androgynous. It depends on the person listening to the Vocaloids, and sometimes it depends on what you know going in.

    • When I first heard flower's voice, I seriously thought she was Len.

You have a point, but I meant genuinely androgynous as in the voice isn't intended to be either gender. Currently every Vocaloid so far is either male or female (VY1 and VY2 are unisex, but their voices aren't).
