with the limited amount of days left, I don't see how its going to make the cut... Oh but can someone grab this link... This was the link I couldn't get on her page due tot eh C+P issue I have right now.
That's too bad, I think a complation book with multiple artists would be cool, Zunko isn't necessarily my favorite but I have a soft spot for her, moreso her design than voice. But I'm sure the Tohoku region will still sell zunko merch to help out their region, IDK how much this kickstarter will help 'cause if I remember correctly, kickstarters can't be used for charity. Although I suppose there's loopholes you could take advantage of and if they have extras after printing out the books to send to backers they can use the rest to rebuild anything that still needs help in the region
20,267 out of 30k, that's more promising although still far away, ah well, even if they can't fund the art book I'm sure they've made enough money from all the zunko merch and other businesses to support the region
kickstarter projects that fail result in no money towards the project... Its a "no win; no commitment" system. Its why some don't mind supporting them, because if the project doesn't take off they don't have to fork out anything. Its a shame but I think a lot of it is to do with the fact they didn't get much attention.
I myself didn't know of it until there was merely 12 days left to go. :-/
I'm surprised they're using kickstarter b/c they also link to greenfunding which appears to be the same thing but in Japanese, it might get more attention in a site with more Japanese users unless they're trying to do both, I know her sisters' voicebank stuff got funded. I know there's also gofundme but as far as I've seen that's for more personal things like "I/my pet got injured and we need help paying our bills" rather than something art orientated.
They made the goal woo!
Lol, now thats what I call "cutting it close to the mark!"
Hey hey, they made it!! With 900 bucks spare! <3
