But I wanna try and sound like a VOCALOID when I sing. Not all the time, I just want some tips.

What exactly do you mean by "sounding like a Vocaloid"? I think what gives Vocaloid its characteristic "sound" is engine twang, hence why even realistic toned vocals cannot sound completely human. There's really no way to "sound like a Vocaloid" when you sing because it's not really the singing style or voice type but the synthesis engine sound. In fact every voice synthesizer has a distinct sound and it's how you can tell Vocaloid, UTAU, or Cevio apart from each other. (Though UTAU has several different resamplers, all of which have their own "sound")
If you're talking about how to sound like a Vocaloid as in sounding like Miku or Big Al or Yukari, that would be difficult unless you're an experienced voice actor or voice impressionist. But you should try to imitate the Vocaloid's vocal traits with your own voice, like Miku has a very high pitched voice that is supposed to sound cute, so do a high pitched cute voice.
I'm talking about sounding robotic. Without auto-tune, of course.
