We have lost a great man in the gaming industry and has revolutionized it. He has crafted much of our childhood and while he may be gone physically, he will live in the happiness he caused in many, many people's lives.
If you didn't know him, you may have heard of the company he was president of. And that was Nintendo. This was Mr. Satoru Iwata, President since 2002 to 2015. He died at the age of 55 on July 11th, 2015 due to a bile duct growth.
Many thanks to Mr. Iwata for everything. Rest in peace.
"On my business card, I am a corporate president. In my mind, I am a game developer. But in my heart, I am a gamer.”
"Video games are meant to be just one thing. Fun. Fun for everyone."
- Satoru Iwata
