Today I finally pulled out my magic cards and made the decision to get rid of them. I put this off until now for numerous reasons with the most prominent being laziness combined with having better things to do than that. My start with this game was actually rather recent as I started playing it around May/June back in 2011. It was all because yet again I let myself be influenced by a friend into playing. It's kind of funny as for awhile I told both myself and my friend millions of times that it was NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. However, because she had already corrupted other members of our group of friends into playing and seeing as for awhile that's all they wanted to do I felt left out and most importantly: bored. You can all guess what happened next I'm sure. But just in case let it be known that I (obviously) caved and bought a starter deck.
The rest is sort of history as after being taught how to play I was hooked, and in the short year(ish) that I played it was fun. Wasted a lot of time and a lot of money on this hobby though. In the end I have 10 playable decks and probably about a thousand excess cards that aren't worth my time for reasons x, y, and z. Now despite my having fun once school started up again I didn't really have any time to play. Anytime I was free no one else would be. Still, I kept up with things up until the release of the second set of the last block. After that I gave up. I just didn't have the time to keep up with it anymore and needed my funds for more important things like my car. Yet despite all that this was actually an easy decision to make. The one reason above all others was the fact that I'm no good at the game. Like on a scale of 1 to 10 of just how much I suck at this 10 doesn't come close to describing it.
So sometime within the next month or so I'll have figured out my plan of attack on how exactly I'm going to get rid of them.
