Edits of removalEdit

Um, it's okay to remove the lines if you think they are not appropriate, but please explain what is wrong in the edit summary next time. Anyway, what were wrong with them?Blacksaingrain 14:04, June 2, 2010 (UTC)

Oh, sorry. I passed over "Until Gackpoid was released, Kaito and Leon ..." and thought they were gone. By the way, I think how their songs rated is important and it should be in their history. It's not like fanmade settings.Blacksaingrain 14:24, June 2, 2010 (UTC)

I’ve just looked for some articles using "trivia" and found them in Animation or Manga wikias(Maybe there’s more though). At there, the information in trivia is something like character’s profile in details or their ranks in fan polls. Those are not directly related to their histories(stories), so I agree that they’re trivia. But for vocaloids, I still think their songs are part of their history and not trivia since if the songs gain fine reputations would greatly influence their values and their works tell what they are. I think the songs and the information about them are one of the main subjects. This is just my opinion though. Hmm,maybe I’d better fix and add them to “notable songs” somehow. I’ll delete them for now.Blacksaingrain 17:02, June 2, 2010 (UTC)

Well, I think we still don’t need to separate them like that, and once we do it, it may cause edit wars and arguments. There is no standard to judge which works are notable/normal/famous yet, but they are quite well-balanced even without it. I don’t want to make it off and cause the controversies till they are necessary. Also, Miku has more than 170 songs that made 100,000 on Nico and it’s impossible to put them all on wiki.(That’s why I made playlists on Youtube) Anyway, I’ll try to look for better ways :)Blacksaingrain 04:56, June 3, 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, Miku really has a lot. When I knew it I was surprised too XD She is special on Nico and I think we can't always put her and other vocaloids in the same arena. I wish Lola and other English vocaloids had songs half as much as she hasBlacksaingrain 06:35, June 4, 2010 (UTC).

Yeah, Sweet Ann is as famous as Leon on Nico. There are more than 450 video related to her there(She has the most among English vocaloids), while Lola has only 136. Poor Lola, but comparing to Miku, I can’t say Ann has enough either (Miku has more than 70,000). If she had a better artwork, she might have got more popular. By the way, are you tired of Japanese and Crypton fans? Haha, then, you would get tired of me too XD (JJ, I’m not taking your words offence) Well, many Japanese consider themselves poor at English and they believe it would be too hard to use English vocaloids or write lyrics in English. I think that’s the main reason of it. And I’d bet Crypton would not change their styles as long as their products are selling well even if they are trying to develop new ones at the back. Crypton is a small company and they can’t do something without regard to commercial concerns. Since KAITO became popular female users have increased and most of them like both male & female vocaloids though, most of the male users are not so interested in male vocaloids. A young female voice sells better in Japan. Oh but, I agree that keeping the challenge alive is important.Blacksaingrain 10:15, June 5, 2010 (UTC)
I like high-voiced songs but I prefer male vocaloids to be low voiced :) It's a matter of taste though, Leon sounds really good in low voice as well as KAITO. It’s true that KAITO’s poor sales was a hard hit for Crypton. They might be thinking it would be too risky to develop another male vocaloid and his popularity was just by chance. I feel really sad that they’re trying to ignore MEIKO and KAITO now, even they are still selling well. However, the following Crypton’s products also did sell well and that means each of products has been distinguished, supported and loved by many people and Crypton have just served many clients' needs. I think it’s fine as there are other companies that develop vocaloids and without doubt what Crypton produced made ‘vocaloid’ more popular. Well, I know there’re many fans that say Crypton is the best and only the best, but I guess most of them just want to say that they love Crypton’s vocaloids best regardless of their qualitity as softwares. Vocaloid fans are not always vocaloid users and also not so familiar with their performances or how to use them. Japanese fans who use vocaloids well never say such things like which company’s vocaloid is only the best easily. And the bottom line here is, what important to most of fans is if songs, voices or words get to their hearts or not, I suppose. Miku is beloved not because she is perfect as a product, but because she can touch a lot of people. Some people say they are greatly encouraged by her since she sounds like she is trying as hard as possible to sing like a man. Measuring something by its maturity and performance as a software is one thing and it’s a very interesting viewpoint though, I think we can’t properly evaluate them by that alone.
Sonika has gentle, sweet voice while she often sounds a bit furry. The voice quality, including accent, really influences editing a lot, doesn't it? I like MIRIAM more than Ann but I agree that it’s easy for Ann to sing clearer. Ann’s artwork is just like what you said, not bad itself, just unsuitable for the market. As English is not very necessary in Japan and English vocaloids would be more easy-to-use for native English people, I hope native English speakers who use them will increase. Blacksaingrain 19:01, June 7, 2010 (UTC)

I just wanted to explain what most of the Japanese vocaloid fans are like. I’m sure people who can make the fairer answers, if they exist, are the ones who don’t love vocaloids and companys so much lol Truly it’s a matter of personal taste, wants, needs and judgmental standard. Just like talking over who is the best singer in the world, each one can have his own opinion and standard but no one can force them to others. Of course enjoying discussing is fine though :)
Presetting Vocaloids2’s breath in 5 levels really changes the sound. I have never used English vocaloids, but sure it would change hers a lot as well. As there’s an Act2 for Rin/Len, I think it's nice for Sonika to have it too. Conpanies respond to fans’ requests, sometimes. Yes, sometimes. Anyway I’m looking forward to newcome vocaloids.
By the way, I’m thinking of adding this text to each vocaloid’s “notable song” section;
“There are not less that 66,000 videos on Nico Nico Douga, 144,000 on Youtube, which are related to Miku Hatsune. More than 170 of her songs were inducted into Vocaloid's Hall of Fame on Nico Nico Douga (exceeded 100,000 views) & recorded in more than 10,000 mylists. Miku’s Songlist inducted into Vocaloid's Hall of Fame[1], [2], [3]
Maybe I’ll change it to “more than 8000 mylists” though.Blacksaingrain 01:38, June 11, 2010 (UTC)

SONiKA's songs Edit

Hey even though i don't have an account I wanted to respond to your message on the sonika page (so you don't get mad....><) I noticed that the section had become rather cluttered and i think that the section should focus on directing new SONiKA users/fans to original songs frist and only *very* popular covers. But if having the covers up means so much to you then i suggest maybe a section just for covers. ~~ DSQ

Name Titles brightness Edit

I don't think it works very well. Bunai82 14:07, June 20, 2010 (UTC)

LilyEdit

Confirmed. It’s perfectly acceptable. I put some same references on the article just to show which source I used, but please delete some of them if you think they are unnecessary(I'm sure they are).Blacksaingrain 09:53, July 8, 2010 (UTC)

No problem, we should help each other in times of need. I’ll go through after you finish your edition.Blacksaingrain 12:06, July 8, 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, when it comes to technical sides, probably forums or blogs are the places where we can find information most. I think gathering technical information with a lot of technical vocabulary is not easy especially for fans who are not so familiar with using vocaloids. Maybe that made you alone. I have a experience a bit, but there are still so many things to learn. Fans who know much about them are not majority even in Japan. However, I hope I can be of some help. Blacksaingrain 13:59, July 8, 2010 (UTC)
Ah, take your time, we're in no hurry. I’ll be a bit busy from the day after tomorrow, but I can go through it in my spare time anyway. Blacksaingrain 03:27, July 9, 2010 (UTC)

Long Time Edit

Yeah,i just become the Admin of xXx Holic Wiki and that great,Apparently if the character has a japan name, woud you write Watanuki Kimihiro <Japan Name> or Kimihiro Watanuki<ENG Name>,please give me a suggestion and thanks, ooh and can you help me builing the wiki's Theme and Wiki.PNG,pleaseeeeee,--LaughingVampire1990 13:28, July 8, 2010 (UTC)

Phoneme pageEdit

I've been looking for some useful information with technical jargon and translating them into English these days for the article, but it seems to take some time and I know I always make stupid mistakes once I rush, just like I did on Lily's page. I couldn't believe I overlooked her company's name :( Need to reread myself in what I write naggingly. Blacksaingrain 08:45, July 17, 2010 (UTC)

Re: Release Date Page Edit

not sure what you mean, unless it is editing the infobox template to link to the release date page. Anyway, going to edit the pages again when it comes to searching for their names on nico and youtube. 18:02, July 21, 2010 (UTC)

Phoneme List - Chinese Edit

I'm curious about it. I added some information on the article. According to the official site there is a list to have accessibility to 90% of the Chinese pronunciation in her help file, but probably not a Chinese databank. I wonder how she will deal with Hanyu pinyin, some of initials or retroflexes, however, it’s very interesting anyway.

Don’t worry about the article Vocaloid, if I find good information sources, I’ll add them too. But the problem is, there is a limited amount of information for English Vocaloids.Blacksaingrain 15:11, July 24, 2010 (UTC)

Magnet art tracingEdit

I haven’t checked Nico these days and I’ve got the facts straight just now. Certainly it’s not clear when things calm down, rather, they might affect many other songs that the illustrator offered her works to. I’ll make a new article of the illustrator with a brief explanation for it later. magnet has been kept private and the matter is still under discussion by authors, but if it won’t be settled, the song might be deleted and reuploaded with different illustrations by other illustrators. The same thing can be said for other songs. Blacksaingrain 03:17, August 3, 2010 (UTC)

"Just be friends" has also been closed to public and "Cendrillon" might be the next as people have got into a shouting match over the matter on its page.Blacksaingrain 04:14, August 3, 2010 (UTC)

linking videos Edit

How exactly are you working this feature? I want to make sure I get it right, I noticed that there are no long history edits with the Weekly Video template, so where are the previous ones linking from. -- Bunai82 (talk page) 19:56, August 16, 2010 (UTC)

Alrighty Edit

I'm the anonymous who edited Sweet Ann's songs. I get your point now. I shouldn't have talked so soon... D:. I guess, its better to have these lots of songs listed rather than underappreciating some songs. Thanks!112.206.55.204 09:26, October 5, 2010 (UTC)

Q : Gallery template Edit

Is this template free to use? I have a wiki that uses a lot of images and would like something that will be workable with the *ugh* oasis skin. -- Bunai82 (talk) 01:30, October 29, 2010 (UTC)

ah thanks. Its a neat template... I need to figure out how to make my own. -- Bunai82 (talk) 10:35, October 29, 2010 (UTC)

Re: Feed back Edit

The template? The idea is good since Oasis is going to elongate the heck out of the page. The amount of pages will be unbelievable though. Are you worried about that part? -- Bunai82 (talk) 21:51, October 30, 2010 (UTC)

If it can stay in order and is easy to find, then go for it. I must admit the lack of an admin (or even a maintenance admin) is getting rather annoying. Anyway, did you need help copy/pasting the list or something? Hopefully the links will be stable enough for a few months before going through them to see if the video was removed. -- Bunai82 (talk) 22:41, October 30, 2010 (UTC)
I admit I cannot sort more then the Vocaloid pages out... In some cases I simply don't know which are the covers of the orginal Vocaloid songs, and which are the vocaloid songs. Though, I need to complete the template. I need to complete the "etc, etc," bit (oh snap, laziness). I'm pushing to get this wikia more attention right now to see what that brings. The youtube list is just the first step. Regardless, I don't want the wikia to become THE resource, I'd rather see other sites stay popular, thats why I'm very keen to keep main news linking to those sites. Plus, so many people don't have faith in this wikia that its impossible. I put up the recent info on Lily... People doubted it... Thats enough to make me acknowledge that we'll never be considered reliable, even when the info is correct. :-/ One-Winged Hawk 23:10, October 30, 2010 (UTC)
Well, you definitely work hard. So I wish I could do more than just compliment on a userpage.
This wiki was very outdated before you and a few more editors arrived, so it is nice that things are keeping current. All there needs to be is more organizing. And it won't be instant... I know lol, since I am behind on my own wiki. -- Bunai82 (talk) 21:17, November 4, 2010 (UTC)

Re: The calls out Edit

Cool'. Well, it would be nice to have an active admin. I know the current one is busy with school priorities and that is important and understandable, but the lack of a second active admin or any other authority can be agitating. I am the lone admin on my adopted wiki, but so far I've been actively editing and would like to appoint someone that isn't a spammer and basically likes to add to the site like I do. Such decisions can be quite difficult. But in the case of the Vocaloid Wiki, I think there are certain people here who would like to maintain without being pushy about it. -- Bunai82 (talk) 19:53, November 22, 2010 (UTC)

Yeah, he is good at what he does, when he is here ^^;; Having someone who can edit the css and delete pages is really needed. Also, we should put a rule on the Mainpage and MediaWiki:Photo (ugh to photo) that uploading fanart is not wanted, unless it is their own and they plan to maintain their vocaloid. BUT I still want to try a vocaloid fanmade wiki to clear things up. But I think a better name is needed and something that relates back to this wiki is essential.
Sorry for the little OT. -- Bunai82 (talk) 20:03, November 22, 2010 (UTC)
If I can pull myself away from my own wiki, I can go through some fanmade pages to see which are not being active anymore. Though I am an avid fan of history pages on wikis, regardless of the subject not being up-to-date. -- Bunai82 (talk) 23:07, November 22, 2010 (UTC)
Lol, Aster seems to be the most organized, Damesukekun‎ is more focused on correct information by translation and such, O Herman seems to maintain articles rather nicely. Me... hmm XD not sure. I'm more of a minor fix person who tries to get pages noticed. -- Bunai82 (talk) 21:33, November 23, 2010 (UTC)

No reply on a secondary Admin yet? -- Bunai82 (talk) 22:54, November 30, 2010 (UTC)

Alrighty, more waiting, oyi -- Bunai82 (talk) 22:57, November 30, 2010 (UTC)

Bah, guess I will have to volunteer to take on some kind of rights, at least temporarily. -- Bunai82 (talk) 09:23, December 11, 2010 (UTC)

It seems Damesukekun and O Herman want to run the fanmade section like UTAU wiki, but I don't know if such methods will work on here. Certainly the whole Vocaloid Fanmade concept needs some major overhauling. I think people are depending too much on official derivatives for the way a fanmade should be and how it should grow. But the thing is, that started when Vocaloid was in the second era, basically an imageboard and otaku who were just getting into the whole synthesizer thing. So unless you are a popular artist already, your fanmade isn't going to take off as well as you would like. There are so many now, no one is really paying much attention.
oyi, as much as I don't want to use this example. The Japanese otaku fandom can be pretty organized when it comes to this type of things, while the Western otaku fandom is rather broken up about it. They are inspired by their Japanese counterparts, but don't want to work together to build something that would establish a decent mascot.
Back to the first part, while UTAU is based upon Vocaloid, it's different when it comes to each subjects fanmades. The obvious one being an amateur voicebank over a professional company voicebank. UTAU creators are more likely to build up their character long before they create a site or wiki page about them. With Vocaloid creators it seems to be derivative first, no real build up, page quickly. However, perhaps we can work with this type of method and smooth it out. I don't want people to feel discouraged if their Vocaloid chara is not popular within the few months, I mean... how many do you expect to remember? Without some promoting around online, the character will likely never take off and the creator will just dump it from disappointment not from boredom. -- Bunai82 (talk) 00:21, December 15, 2010 (UTC)
I am all for removing the ones that literally have no activity (creator and community wise) and trying to start, semi, fresh. Naturally half of this task requires admin power =_='. That proposed page still sits there, and I doubt anyone active has bothered with it. I know I don't look at much, as there is no real communication on what to do about it, especially from the creator of this wiki.
As for now, how about putting a message on the front page that the adding fanmades will be on hiatus? Removing the link and such. Until we all figure out what the heck to do with the current ones. -- Bunai82 (talk) 02:52, December 15, 2010 (UTC)

Staff replyEdit

If this is an issue on your wiki, the bureaucrat there can promote other users into bureaucrat. If he is unwilling to do that, then please start a community discussion to nominate a few other admins and bureaucrats. We will be happy to do the promotion if we see community agreement.

Got a reply from staff. Obviously a community discussion was started, but with just two of the most active members being the only ones, I wonder if it will count. -- Bunai82 (talk) 22:04, December 13, 2010 (UTC)

Link? XD if it is to the Community discussion, then it is you who created it lol. -- Bunai82 (talk) 00:28, December 14, 2010 (UTC)

Lol usually that is how second adminship works, the most active and most contributing editor gets the position. I would only want temp rights so I can do some clean up. Not sure how you demote yourself though. -- Bunai82 (talk) 08:34, December 22, 2010 (UTC)

Thank you, I will be going through the images marked for deletion and well, delete them lol. Moving images to proper names and categories so they are easily found, and think of a titles to get a consistency for fanmade thumbnails and illustrations, because right now, they are hard to find and all over the place, so there are going to be some broken gallery and pages due to redirect suppression.
You may not want adminship, but you do seem the best for you, as you have direction and can get around the site so easily. -- Bunai82 (talk) 21:54, December 22, 2010 (UTC)
lol okay
Don't worry, I know which ones to sort. ^_^ even if deleted it can be restored... as odd as that is. -- Bunai82 (talk) 22:01, December 22, 2010 (UTC)

infobox producer (review) Edit

I made an infobox for the Producer pages so there can be some easier format to follow, what do you think? I'm going to try and hid the "playlist" section, as it would seem to be the only thing that could be unused, common among YT Producers. -- Bunai82 (talk) 22:10, December 2, 2010 (UTC)

Song Articles Edit

Should we have articles on the most notable Vocaloid songs (ie. Black Rock Shooter, Dark Woods Circus etcetera.)? I'd be more than happy to help. Plus, I'd bring a song template to the site. Go or no go? ProtoStealth 02:46, December 15, 2010 (UTC)

Re:Image guidelines... Edit

Doubt there is one lol. What do you have in mind? Because I want to at least title official and fanmades before you go into the details of image policy. Also need a template and category, which is gonna take some hours since I am sorting. -- Bunai82 (talk) 22:31, December 22, 2010 (UTC)

Lol that's a start. Are the vocaloid wiki rules pages in place anywhere... I honestly forgot about them lol -- Bunai82 (talk) 22:57, December 22, 2010 (UTC)

Re:Funny old world... Edit

^_^;; that shouldn't be a bad thing, it would just make someone more cautious of their purchase next time. Besides disappointment, I don't see the true bad in getting a fake... well that is if you intended to get it for collecting purposes (and lulz) or just got over it quickly and got the real thing. -- Bunai82 (talk) 23:42, December 22, 2010 (UTC)

That is just one of the risk of a hobby. If it doesn't fall a part in the hands of the gifted (?), then I think they will survive XD -- Bunai82 (talk) 23:58, December 22, 2010 (UTC)
LOL looks like that cymbal monkey -- Bunai82 (talk) 00:15, December 23, 2010 (UTC)
It'd be cute if it was more accurate, dah well. -- Bunai82 (talk) 00:46, December 23, 2010 (UTC)

Delete template Edit

You added some to images a few days ago with no reason given. It makes it hard to know why they were marked. Many are actually linking to the main fanpage as a "click here" link. Since I am sorting images I removed the delete template for now. -- Bunai82 (talk) 21:35, December 23, 2010 (UTC)

Alrighty ^_^ the summary and category will acknowledge what it links to, so it won't be regarded as unused. Not sure why Wikia doesn't count linked images as a "featured on". -- Bunai82 (talk) 22:41, December 23, 2010 (UTC)

About Table templates Edit

Can you explain what you are doing with them and what changed? Currently there are quite a few to follow, so I want to know what will link to what. And if it isn't too much of a problem, could you have some consistency with their titles? Cause half of them I don't know what they mean XD -- Bunai82 (talk) 21:59, December 25, 2010 (UTC)

ah okay, well feel better and just stay off the site for a few hours XD. With my moms new religion I don't think we celebrate or have Christmas anymore. So I just spent the time watching TV and updating wikis.
To the templates, thanks for explaining the basics, I have to get use to what is where now. -- Bunai82 (talk) 22:28, December 25, 2010 (UTC)

About KEI Edit

He's often introduced as "a designer" of Miku or Rin/Len Kagamine, but the word "designer" often does not mean "a person who devises or executes designs or one who creates forms, structures, and patterns, as for machines" when it is used in Japanese(although there are few exceptions). Especially for Kei, it just means "illustrator" or "one who does artworks". And the concepts of the characters were designed by the members of Crypton, not by Kei. Mainly he just did the illuslations of them like what Kentaro Miura did for Gakupo. However, many western fans misunderstand that Kei is the main developer and the designer of Miku and Rin/Len, and think his comics like "Hatsune Mix" is official, as the word carries several meanings. I think it would be better to use "illustrator" instead on this wiki. What do you think of that? Blacksaingrain 11:07, December 26, 2010 (UTC)

Thank you:D Um, sorry for bothering you, but will you help me with fixing the title of the picutre here. I tried to fix it though, I don't how. How does it go?Blacksaingrain 12:14, December 26, 2010 (UTC)
Ah, thank you for fixingBlacksaingrain 12:36, December 26, 2010 (UTC)

30 day trial Edit

I wrote my reply on Lily's talk page. Just one thing. Please do not remove (citation needed) without generating additional information to supplement on articles or adding sources. That's against the wiki rules. We're not kids. Blacksaingrain 10:04, December 29, 2010 (UTC)

Well, even if you are thinking of adding them, still you should remove the template AFTER you add. That's the rule. How can people know you will add them? And I put it to every information that should be proved. If there're many, that means you need to prove every one of them.(Of course, if one source can support several lines, you don't need to put it to every one of them to remove) Blacksaingrain 10:26, December 29, 2010 (UTC)
I just want to increase reliability of this wiki and don't want to easily remove other people's edition for no reason. I'm thinking the template as a chance to avoid removing. But sorry for being a nitpicky anyway.Blacksaingrain 11:06, December 29, 2010 (UTC)
When it comes to typographical errors and omissions, I have to confess I'm not a good editor at all. Always thanks to editors who correct my silly mistakes XD And you don't need to worry about Meaw, I'm not so familiar to anything about vocaloids beyond official ones. As Japanese vocaloid fandom is spreading so quickly and widely, I can't catch up with it. But I know you do not spare any effort for it.Blacksaingrain 11:58, December 29, 2010 (UTC)

Ah, okay. Thanks for telling Blacksaingrain 16:37, December 29, 2010 (UTC)

About title for Fanmade pages Edit

Example, they are currently like this:

  • Hagane Vocaloids
  • Voyakiloid
  • Genderbent Vocaloids

I wanted to make it easier by hooking the title to the main Fanmade Vocaloids page, by doing this:

  • Fanmade Vocaloids/Hagane
  • Fanmade Vocaloids/Voyakiloid
  • Fanmade Vocaloids/Genderbent

Even though all the pages need some kind of makeover, what do you think? -- Bunai82 (talk) 20:21, January 3, 2011 (UTC)

You will have to explain your idea a bit better. Since I am not sure if removing the individual articles is a good idea, unless the plan is to use the Fanmade Vocaloids page as the main map of sorts to reach the other derivations and original fanmades etc. RE:Anti-Vandalism rules? - I just linked to the default rules created by Wikia, Antonio Lopez didn't create an original document about the Vocaloid Wiki. -- Bunai82 (talk) 22:26, January 3, 2011 (UTC)
Alrighty, thank you.
@Rules - Now that I re read the default rules, I can see what you mean. You can remove number 3 lol, since that is just inviting trouble. Other than that, some things need to be thought about, especially when it comes to fanmades and factual information, and copyright blah blah. -- Bunai82 (talk) 23:02, January 3, 2011 (UTC)
May I ask what is important with Hagane? Is it because each Crypton has a counterpart now? In comparison to the Voykiloid. At least with the main fanpage up, it will keep the explanation of what each derivative is. I would just like to see Fanmade Vocaloids page be the source of letting people know what it is. The rules/creation page should be left for itself... it would be distracting imo. -- Bunai82 (talk) 22:16, January 4, 2011 (UTC)
Alright, now that is clear. It is best to keep them on one page. -- Bunai82 (talk) 22:26, January 4, 2011 (UTC)

About Fandesk template Edit

hey more text XD. Anyway, I wanted to know if I could move some of the pages to a qualifier? As in placing under one title. This would at least eliminate the two categories. For example:

  • Getting Started → Tutorial: Getting Started
  • Using the Parameters → Tutorial: Using the Parameters
  • Phoneme List → Technical: Phoneme List

Or perhaps a infamous slash method lol

Which reminds me the categories need sorting... so messy, but I am not sure where to start. -- Bunai82 (talk) 22:42, January 4, 2011 (UTC)

Alrighty, do keep me informed about it.
So qualifiers title or not? -- Bunai82 (talk) 21:17, January 6, 2011 (UTC)

Icon / Thumbnail images Edit

For whatever you are planning with the fanmade main pages, would the deletion of these icons be a part of it? I personally would like to remove them if they will no longer be in use, since most were used for the original template. Though some are currently being used in the Proposed page, many are just not being used at all. -- Bunai82 (talk) 22:57, January 8, 2011 (UTC)

Re: Well
It's fine, I am distracted with updating wikis and organizing my computer files. Why not get Damesukekun to do the page translating? -- Bunai82 (talk) 00:01, January 14, 2011 (UTC)

Re:One page down Edit

Alrighty ^_^
I would help with the fanmades, but I don't have the rhythm for it (yet)... that and I still need to organizing the files and pages by category. You're doing great btw. -- Bunai82 (talk) 22:00, January 15, 2011 (UTC)

Is it high priority? With the lack of solid information on them, it will be hard to stretch a page for them. The Japanese ones (of course) require looking up Japanese wikis. But even then I just believe the genderbends are created because it is an amusing thing to do for fandom reasons. Mikuo is basically Miku with no pigtails. They don't have personalities, it would stop many people from doing anything with them. It would be best just to leave them on one page and think of a set up and gallery. -- Bunai82 (talk) 23:24, January 15, 2011 (UTC)
I see why would you want to attempt pages for the genderbends, at least the most known, since they have voice configs. But like the image, voice configs vary. Perhaps switch it to proposed genderbends / originals / humans or something lol. The original and human vocaloids. As I said before, many of these were placed here by Bonbondoodle, until s/he was told to slow down and stop. Now it is about sorting and seeing who really stuck with it and seeing if any are actually worth keeping.
As for Human Vocaloids, the only ones I am aware of are Sai Tonarine and Niku Shuune; and finding out what effect they used to be "robotic but clear" should be interesting. Though I don't believe Human Vocaloid is common in the fandom, I think Sai just gave people the idea. so other than that, people like singing Vocaloid songs without actually wanting the Human Vocaloid title. So maybe the solution would be to just keep Sai as the most established example and remove the rest? She can be moved to fanmade vocaloid as the summary of however I would clean things up lol. -- Bunai82 (talk) 00:03, January 16, 2011 (UTC)
Well the wikis gotta get cleared up at some point ^_^ so you can head off and worry about it later HA! So (english fandom wise) would you want me to check to see if people are still keeping up with their creations? I feel sort of bad that the Vocaloids no the proposed page are still "in waiting" since the wiki so very far behind in finding a place for them. -- Bunai82 (talk) 00:12, January 16, 2011 (UTC)

Linking images Edit

Hi, sorry about uploading my signature image directly to the site! These are my first steps editing wiki so I'm quite at a loss here. :) I already had the image in another site and tried linking to it, but I just wasn't able to make the image visible on this end. To actually see the image I'd have had to click the link and I would have been redirected to the image in the other site. Could you help me with the image, please? Also, is it possible to make different coloured texts in the wiki environment? In forums I always coloured my messages in a certain shade of light blue. Sorry for the trouble! Esrael 22:33, January 20, 2011 (UTC)

Busy Edit

Hi, sorry for not doing much here, I am trying to finish this article on my own wiki and it is taking quite a bit to sort everything out. Even though everything is from a game the arranging and set up is just time consuming ^_^;; -- Bunai82 (talk) 19:33, January 28, 2011 (UTC)

Ah cool ^_^ seems like the first 3 months for everyone on Wikia will be about sorting rather than creating. No surprise that you are considered for admin ship on wikis, you do a lot. Anyway, I like the idea of turning the fanpage into a thumbnail click, it will shrink things down. lol I should archive or clear my talk page, though there isn't much to it. -- Bunai82 (talk) 00:51, January 29, 2011 (UTC)

Helping Vocoloid Wiki Edit

I'm a new admin from the Touhou Project Wiki and since I'm very much interested in vocaloids and since I've found out that they are sorta kinda connected to Touhou ;) I was wondering if I could give you guys a hand in remaking and reshaping you wiki!

I am ok with creating backgrounds (if you have an image you want up) and css design. You can take a look at that wiki to get an idea of what we've done to change it. So if you need my help, I'm on and check my messages a lot, so... >.> hehe --Imanie 11:42, February 7, 2011 (UTC)

Re: About the cache system... Edit

Yeah, it is an issue on my wiki and apparently some others. Oasis just keeps holding onto deleted or edited pages and text, I sent a contact email from mine, should I send one from here too? -- Bunai82 (talk) 17:13, February 14, 2011 (UTC)

ugh, hopefully more nagging means more addressing it. lol the help forum did say the staff could clear it up. Not sure what the actual problem is. -- Bunai82 (talk) 17:20, February 14, 2011 (UTC)
I wish I had the skills to fix wikis I edit on. =_=;; -- Bunai82 (talk) 17:41, February 14, 2011 (UTC)
w00t nap time! XD I had an appointment this morning so I'm like half awake browsing the net. I try not to be bothersome when asking for help like templates and coding, perhaps computer class will help me and I can be like... a super coder or something. And thank you for the compliment, still need to tweak the page a bit, but hopefully it is easy to view and load. -- Bunai82 (talk) 18:01, February 14, 2011 (UTC)

Moving certain pages to Article category. Awkward now, but I just want to clear up the fanmade category since they are mixing with the individual fanmade pages. I was thinking about doing Category:Fanmade_Vocaloid/Articles, but eh, gotta think about the content of the pages first. -- Bunai82 (talk) 17:41, February 14, 2011 (UTC)

Not going to be around for a whileEdit

Alright, hope it works out. Though I am unsure if I can do the major updating as you do, but I can maintain the articles and spammers. Bai bai -- Bunai82 (talk) 18:24, March 17, 2011 (UTC)

Thank you, and it would be nice to have another active Admin. Though I am unsure which type, unless you are looking for someone specific. I am doing some wide clean up and arranging on my own wiki, but when needed I can do things here. Though everything seems to be in order, it is more about easier access of articles and its names.
To add on, do you think I should start tagging "Song:" to song articles? Currently one must know the name of a song to get to it, and some articles have the Japanese text. -- Bunai82 (talk) 18:44, March 17, 2011 (UTC)
The revised MikuMiku ni Shite Ageru page is what I built the others ones on. It is quite basic.
And yes, there should be some kind of set up for single song pages, I am really unsure what to do about the series ones, but people seem to handle that just fine. -- Bunai82 (talk) 19:21, March 17, 2011 (UTC)
Hmm, I am not sure about that, especially if the song pages keep growing, unless you are referring to something else XD -- Bunai82 (talk) 02:16, March 18, 2011 (UTC)
I was thinking about a bunch of songs being placed on a template and that template getting bigger over time XD -- Bunai82 (talk) 13:51, March 18, 2011 (UTC)

Interwiki links Edit

There is a Spanish vocaloid wiki, it's small, but you could still link to them if you wanted, you'd just have to turn on the interwiki links. --Imanie 21:57, April 4, 2011 (UTC)

I'll look into it. Previously there was no other Vocaloid wikias and I had looked and found none. One-Winged Hawk 22:30, April 4, 2011 (UTC)
Oh yeah! The "Spanish Vocaloid Wiki"... that place is a f***ing mess. I began the try to tidy up a bit, but the task is becoming almost impossible D: Adept-eX 22:45, April 4, 2011 (UTC)
I could try and help when I have time. I think if you link them together, you can share images a little easier, which means you can add and translate pages from English to Spanish a little better. I know a little Spanish, but you might want to check with the administrators there and see what they're up to doing, if they're active. There may or may not be another vocaloid wiki in another language, I checked for a French one but didn't find one. --Imanie 23:25, April 4, 2011 (UTC)
That would be nice! Any help is useful, anyway if you have some trouble with the Spanish, you can ask me, cuz I know Spanish, I'm Chilean after all.
Anyway, I'm going to contact to the administrators from the Spanish Vocaloid Wiki and I'm going to tell them about the interwiki link. Then we can organize the whole thing. Adept-eX 00:06, April 5, 2011 (UTC)
You might have to bring O Herman into this, because I'm always afriad to do things like this. But it WOULD be a lot better. I had a looksey around the other wikia last night, they are missing a lot of information. I approve of the spread of information more then anything, thus, its more then benefical if the wikias are linked. The Spannish Wikia has some information it is missing. :-/ 09:17, April 5, 2011 (UTC)

Okay, when Bunai or O Herman reply, this will go ahead our end. One-Winged Hawk 09:40, April 5, 2011 (UTC)

Not sure what will be effected, if it will benefit for good then it is fine with me, though we ourselves are still on the unorganized side. That and our head admin still hasn't made much of an appearance. -- Bunai82 (talk) 16:25, April 5, 2011 (UTC)
He hasn't been around since the elections elected more staff in and I'm wondering if thats the reason. But we've gotten a lot more work done since we stopped having to wait for him to do things. I was wondering if it was wrong to call an election, but the wikia was in need of a major sort out and though we're still a mess we're better then we were before it. AL doesn't show up often enough to make things steady. If me and O Herman and you agree, I'd call it fair enough though... :-/ One-Winged Hawk 17:00, April 5, 2011 (UTC)
I am all for helping out @.@ it helps me learn more about vocaloids and helps the Wikia community. You all seem to be doing well so far :) from the looks of it. All they do is allow you to add links to pages so language links can be added. I think it also means that whatever is uploaded, anyone from either wiki can reach it easier. It also broadens the vocaloid community and adds more people who can help out.
Oooh! I can help with moving pages over whenever it gets started and can try to help with translating >.> but it would be horrible. --Imanie 23:20, April 5, 2011 (UTC)
Link requests are set up. I think I got it right from our end of things... I'm always so dam nervous since I'm relatively new to all of this. ^_^' One-Winged Hawk 07:28, April 6, 2011 (UTC)

recent changes bug Edit

Does this happen to you. Appearing signed off while on Recent Changes? This happened before on this wiki, I checked out a few more and did not get this result. -- Bunai82 (talk) 07:29, April 12, 2011 (UTC)

Thank you. Not much to do but wait it out.
Everything seems alright now. -- Bunai82 (talk) 17:36, April 12, 2011 (UTC)

Proposal fanmade page Edit

Ugh, that thing is a mess... and I feel slightly bad about those Vocaloids hanging in the wings. But hey, those who stuck with it probably got attention now even without the wiki. Anyway. I'm gonna gut the page and see if I can make a better set up. I'm going to branch into new pages by Company and Originals and see if that makes things easier to sort.

For some reason half of what is there, is not showing up 0_o. I just added a miki fanmade and saw no hidden arrows on the page. So something is wrong with it... maybe too much text or an image / template problem? -- Bunai82 (talk) 02:19, April 13, 2011 (UTC)

You can check if you want.
I've been thinking about it, after Wikia decided to have a spasm and go on back servers. I will try to keep it all on one page and see if the scroll box template I added will do some good. I will arrange it by company and vocaloid released chronologically. -- Bunai82 (talk) 06:56, April 13, 2011 (UTC)
Finished the proposal pages all the while Wikia had more meltdowns while I was working.
Now that I got the pages up, I sort of take back that I feel bad about the waiting Vocaloids lol. They are in an article... of sorts, so they are on site, they just don't have established pages. As something like that comes from time and a fanbase. It will be a while before I can look at which one to create a page for, there are some obvious ones though... as they have been around for a while.
Also, I put in a namespace request for "Song:". So when that shows up I will be moving the song pages to there. It will make things slightly easier to find and also keep it in order. So please do not move any of the song pages until that space is present, because apparently if you have an article with the namespace you want, and you get it... the page will be blocked...for-ev-errrr. K!Bai! ^_^ -- Bunai82 (talk) 19:45, April 13, 2011 (UTC)

Re:You've been a busy beaverEdit

I think I was awake all day... hmm. Anyway, I am moving the official images to new names so they can be better sorted, so check out the boxart category for that (or just look at the current voice template lol. -- Bunai82 (talk) 08:15, April 14, 2011 (UTC)

I am actually working on Meiko right now and then moving on to Kaito. I was just tired so I stopped with the first three. I will indeed be replacing the moved images ^_^ it's just gonna take a while since I am actually going through the pages top to bottom and fixing a few things, like links or some wording. -- Bunai82 (talk) 16:29, April 14, 2011 (UTC)
about Category:Vocaloid. What do you think about creating Category:Vocaloid1 and then moving the first five into that category and then placing all of them into Category:Vocaloid? -- Bunai82 (talk) 16:44, April 14, 2011 (UTC)
Basically that. Making Category:Vocaloid the main category and then creating a the subcatory Vocaloid1. This way I can place all of the vocaloids in the Category:Vocaloid without the first five occupying it for themselves.
p.s I am hijacking (edit: hopefully w/permission) a Tweet template from the Puella wiki for Kaito tweets... that thing is very confusing to reference, so I am making a section for it at the bottom temporarily. Soon as I figure out what I am doing XD lol -- Bunai82 (talk) 18:52, April 14, 2011 (UTC) I emailed the creator of the template, I am stickler for giving credit. -- Bunai82 (talk) 19:15, April 14, 2011 (UTC)
Haha, got the template and permission. So the new page is Vocaloid on Twitter.
Also the namespace is here, but I am unsure if it is working... as Oasis has been driving me loony with the way it functions. I tested a page, and I am not seeing the results I was hoping for. I am going to wait it out a bit to see if it fixes itself. I don't want to tag a bunch of song pages with the namespace to find that I have to move them all back.
Until then I will be updating more images, I am going to work on the figurines page. Question on the Standard figures... what does PVC apply to? Aren't all the figures PVC? -- Bunai82 (talk) 00:09, April 18, 2011 (UTC)
lol just some updating and organizing before it hits the summer and I get all lazy. -- Bunai82 (talk) 15:24, April 18, 2011 (UTC) Found this site link on the Cosplay forum, is it of any use? The page is in Japanese: http://mimikopi.nomaki.jp/domino/vocaloid2/index.html#HEADER -- Bunai82 (talk) 15:30, April 18, 2011 (UTC)

Song Translations Edit

Hi. We have a lot of song translations on YouTube and some of them are here, too, but I have to say not a few of them are not translated properly. Even a famous translator depends on Google translation (for example, t12111 told me once he/she was a Korean and his/her English were the secondhand from Japanese-Korean Google translation).
As you know, machine translators are not faithful especially for the languages from different families. The common grave mistranslation beginners and machines make is cutting modifiers from modifees.
Here are examples. 12 3
I never mean to discourage students from learning Japanese, but I think they should be more responsible to their works - both for creators and viewers. Do you have any good idea shutting mistranslations out of this wiki? Damesukekun 04:21, April 19, 2011 (UTC)

Re: unbalanced Edit

Not entirely sure what you mean as there was no explanation on how you wanted the main page. I was believing I was making it balance by moving small sections 'onthisday' / 'poll' to the left. I will move them back though, so check out the front and tell me if anything is wrong. I wasn't thinking about ads / monobook while doing this, sorry. -- Bunai82 (talk) 09:39, April 21, 2011 (UTC)

I was trying to make it appear less overwhelming yet also try to draw visitor attention to the Notices and Contribute sections, so we can reduce the number of fanmade pages that pop up but also get more help with the miscellaneous pages. -- Bunai82 (talk) 10:03, April 21, 2011 (UTC) Would shrinking the current voices section gallery and increasing its font help? -- Bunai82 (talk) 10:05, April 21, 2011 (UTC)
I'm sorry for the mess, I'm just hyper today (yesterday?) ^_^;;. I will leave ya alone until tomorrow...which is today. -- Bunai82 (talk) 10:10, April 21, 2011 (UTC)
oo its morning.
hmm I think combining the vocaloid and utau section in the same scroll box might help, as the utau section is small by comparison, and leave the science one by itself. You can toggle the height. -- Bunai82 (talk) 10:25, April 21, 2011 (UTC)

Conversion to last-name-first for established fanmade vocaloids with Japanese names Edit

If you can read this, go ahead converting the established fanmades to the last-name-first order. I'd do that but I'm hard at work in producing a lenten tribute song. O Herman 16:51, April 21, 2011 (UTC)

Review figure page Edit

The standard page, what do you think of the table? -- Bunai82 (talk) 17:43, April 23, 2011 (UTC)

You'll have to screencap, as the set up appears the same to me on both skins. I did indeed try about four different types before testing this version, having a table that works with headers by use of template, as doing it raw did not work at all.
Having a picture at the top made the page too long. So I tried to keep your set up by keeping the images on the right and also keeping the image quality. Unless you want it to go smaller or have them shift to the left. I'll do another test and remove the company and dates, and then combined the company with description as a note. -- Bunai82 (talk) 21:14, April 23, 2011 (UTC)
Alrighty, have a nice time at least ^.^;
I gotta learn more about monobook coding, to at least change some things... like the yellow bg. -- Bunai82 (talk) 21:26, April 23, 2011 (UTC)
lol okay. I won't be doing much, besides thinking of new names of the images and messing with the table. I like mono for its content space and loading. I just suck when it comes to coding. -- Bunai82 (talk) 21:40, April 23, 2011 (UTC)

Re:Receptions Edit

I am so so about it. The good thing is the size and that it is to the point, and you emphasize that it is Western perspective. Perhaps put some kind of mini-warning that the views expressed here are from observation of the fandom... et cetera. However, it does need to balance with more positive because currently it feels somewhat negative. But there are a lot of things to list, from voice, avatar and company. -- Bunai82 (talk) 20:15, April 26, 2011 (UTC)

Draw me up a basis graph and I'll stick with it, these sort of things are always touch and go. :-/ One-Winged Hawk 20:46, April 26, 2011 (UTC)
I'm still doing some tidying on various parts of the site. I will be checking out the sections more later ^_^;; -- Bunai82 (talk) 23:36, April 28, 2011 (UTC)

Re: Pick up page and a interaction idea Edit

A wiki wishlist? Seems like a nice idea, just hope it attracts the right type of editors. As for the forum, maybe the wikia staff can set it back to its default. -- Bunai82 (talk) 21:03, April 29, 2011 (UTC)

Japanese news on Vocaloid Project contest Edit

Due note I am going by booru, started in March?

"ボカロ計画 Vocalo-keikaku (or vocaloid project) is a contest sponsored by Yamaha, in which artists submit their original Vocaloid characters. The winner (which will be announced on May 29) will become a new, official Vocaloid." Sites: vocaloproject / pixiv / vocaloidism -- Bunai82 (talk) 06:54, April 30, 2011 (UTC)

Review on Reception and Template Edit

Still reading them, ehh heh ^_^;;

What I wanted to know what you think of the Vocaloid Reception template, just in case the section is going to stick around, might as well have the same Notice be easy to edit, I included the header for it so that can be changed to. Also were you working on keeping it consistent subject wise? For example, Voice / Function / Avatar / Overall, on each Vocaloid to get a better break down. As you noted the visual view on Ann didn't really come until Miku was seen, and then there was the voice, which both got a good review on. I'm gonna ask Evolotia as well, as she/he seems to be focusing on tweaking the sections a bit.

You can reply to this on your own talkpage if you want. -- Bunai82 (talk) 00:21, May 2, 2011 (UTC)

Re: fanmades Edit

Yeah, but the idea is still active and attractive, especially to people who are new to Vocaloid. Maybe we should do that "Fanon" namespace or rather "Fanloid", if this type of thing is going to stick around. I don't think it will be as organized as UTAU because this wiki did not start out with the intention of holding fanmades in the first place, besides the obvious two for information purposes of course. With the continuous task of trying to get the main things in order, the fanmade thing is just going to have to wait more, but we are not the 'go to' source for them, as there are plenty of alternatives for people.

The English voicebank discussion? Maybe you can space it with some headers? ^_^;; -- Bunai82 (talk) 19:03, May 8, 2011 (UTC)

Re: "Claim to Fame" Edit

You think it would work if there was an article for it? All on one page, since it comes off as being trivia that can't really be worked into history smoothly. Vocaloid Achievements lol -- Bunai82 (talk) 11:21, May 11, 2011 (UTC)

Gonna head off to sleep for the morning lol. Other titles, an extended "Did you know..." / "Vocaloid Trivia" / "Triva extras" hmm -- Bunai82 (talk) 11:32, May 11, 2011 (UTC)
Better under Trivia, more fitting. *gets to sorting* -- Bunai82 (talk) 18:11, May 11, 2011 (UTC)

Re: MMD listingsEdit

0_0; Oookay lol I was going to make an MMD gallery, but didn't know if you would have found it important. -- Bunai82 (talk) 18:35, May 11, 2011 (UTC)

Alright. Also for the miki, you should get a different one as the current miki is no longer up for download. -- Bunai82 (talk) 18:42, May 11, 2011 (UTC)
ah okay, lol I am still in the download model phase of MMD and still just watching vids. I didn't hear about this till... just a few minutes ago XD only thing I know is that due to her corrected version being Windows 100%, her uncorrected one was up for download as long as no editing was involved.-- Bunai82 (talk) 18:49, May 11, 2011 (UTC)
lol okay XD (wow I do that a lot)
To be picky, can you condense the gallery notice when it comes to the models? -- Bunai82 (talk) 19:13, May 11, 2011 (UTC)
I could... make the text smaller? One-Winged Hawk 19:15, May 11, 2011 (UTC)
Its cool now lol -- Bunai82 (talk) 19:33, May 11, 2011 (UTC)
Gonna find the rest of the Vocaloids models. Oh yeah, I added the gallery to the MMD page... might edit the text just to say the persons name though lol -- Bunai82 (talk) 19:39, May 11, 2011 (UTC)
T_T oyi. -- Bunai82 (talk) 20:21, May 11, 2011 (UTC)

Your best guess, minor edit war Edit

I felt the need to protect three song pages for 24 hours due to an IP editor removing songs without an explanation as to why. I even asked and got no reply on it. I am not sure if they are removing them out of personal dislike for the song, the song not present on YT anymore, the song being in the wrong section, or if they have a standard of what should be on the list. While they do add songs that help the list grow, I find it counter productive to remove ones that are clearly still available.-- Bunai82 (talk) 04:04, May 13, 2011 (UTC)

No, don't see the songs being connected to one producer.I probably have to check the history to see if they removed more.
Clearly the editor knows English as they went through and altered some romaji, and there appears to be favoritism with Kaito, who also had a few songs removed but then again his list isn't that large. -- Bunai82 (talk) 20:01, May 13, 2011 (UTC)

Also, should I change links from the infected VO board to the old board, I'm not sure how many threads carried over if ones from the new server go on the old server...hmm. -- Bunai82 (talk) 20:05, May 13, 2011 (UTC)

REV, a partner to CUL? Edit

I didn't see any mention of this on the VY2 or VOCALO Revolution pages, so I'm not sure if you know of this or not... but I recently found this character called REV on the VOCALO Revolution website: http://vocarevo.com/aboutvr.html#07 I've seen some people on DeviantArt say that he uses VY2's voice and is a partner to CUL, but seeing as I don't know Japanese, I can't really confirm it. Just wanted to see if you guys on the wiki knew anything about him yet... ^^; 67.233.36.101 22:10, May 13, 2011 (UTC)

Re: Bil Edit

Neat, I hope the English companies interact more with the fanbase side of Vocaloid. -- Bunai82 (talk) 09:56, May 14, 2011 (UTC)

Re:Oh Edit

That is fine, if you need to be off for a few days. ugh, gonna try to approach this calmly. -- Bunai82 (talk) 20:37, May 15, 2011 (UTC)

You think there needs to be a section on MMD models on the Mythbuster page? Or copy paste it from the MMD article?-- Bunai82 (talk) 20:56, May 15, 2011 (UTC)
Based on the sailorearth events, I second this one. O Herman

...I thought MMD was mentioned on the mythbusters... Sorry... My bad... I should have added one there too if there wasn't one when I updated the MMD page. O.o One-Winged Hawk 20:59, May 15, 2011 (UTC)

Understandable, for now everyone pestering on both sides is making a simple misunderstanding into a huge hill of trouble. -- Bunai82 (talk) 17:17, May 17, 2011 (UTC)
Thank you, I will be rearranging some thing on the blacklist so the purpose of it can be covered. I'll take a look at what you'll type about it. I maybe a newbie when it comes to the program, but even I find it rather silly to claim a character not of their own creation, however, I understand claiming the style the character was created in. *Crosses fingers* hoping this ends well. -- Bunai82 (talk) 19:43, May 17, 2011 (UTC)

XD I'm sorry, but I find it a tad bit amusing, because it is like a mini battle of the stubborn, both sides believe they are right so both sides continue to headbutt. So far, I feel they are actually both correct on some areas... not all *no need to fill your page with my version lol*. @Notice, nicely done, it is clear and gets the point across. Although the page helps me know who not to create a page for (like producer or song page) if you feel the page may cause too much trouble, I wouldn't object to deletion, but the information on Ricardo is so informational. -- Bunai82 (talk) 13:39, May 18, 2011 (UTC)

Story time ^_^

These flare ups seem to happen from time to time, but they are spaced pretty well a part. Everyone calms down but occasionally picks at old wounds for example sake. I think O Herman is use to taking the aggressive approach as UTAU has proven to be quite complex community with its avatars, chara buildups, voice etc... so I can understand. But O Herman is correct on the whole respect ideology, Japanese are just so use to their culture working as some kind of... one-mind type, they sometimes forget that outside of their views the World has additional ideals.
When it comes to Vocaloid/MMD. I don't think they were expecting to see such a large addition of Westerns and other people being into the same thing, lol I remember reading interviews on anime directors and mangaka, and they continue to be surprised they have a fanbase besides Japanese. So this whole deal among the fandom is culture shock...online (*cough*inspace*cough*). The copyright views and ownership are definitely different by culture, we are use to the on paper version, that shows proof of ownership, even Western fandom tread carefully when it comes to selling their fanart, as you never know just how tolerate companies are about their characters being profited without them being involved. And while I enjoy finding fanvids using copyrighted music, I do think companies take things too far... I mean they are basically punching their supporters in the face over some snippets of music. From a business standpoint, I get it.
When PMD editor was released and people saw a neat feature to really create their own models and pass them around, I think Nanami shocked the community on both sides when derivatives were forbidden by him/her, as stated, Japanese are pretty tolerate of their work being derived. But Nanami basically set that mentality of don't edit my babies cause they're mine. Obviously there were others, but MMD was still small and Animasa was the dominate model. As you said, a large number of people follow the rules, yet one odd ball and the whole thing brakes down =_=;

p.s I might be on and off for the rest of the day. -- Bunai82 (talk) 14:18, May 18, 2011 (UTC)

(*waves*) I'm going for a walk... long one lol
Wiki search: MikuMikuDance [4] / [5] / [6]. -- Bunai82 (talk) 14:43, May 18, 2011 (UTC)

Afternoon ^_^ that trip and being off for the day helped clear my head. It is a wonder why people create more wikis of the same subject instead of just adopting or contributing to a current wiki. But anyway, if that MikuMikuDance wikia is going to be taken care of, it will have to be by someone knowledgeable and open. No go find it yourself/ this is my model / grr argh! type of person. But no doubt it will be hard to find someone like that as it seems everyone is currently hyped up for a knife in the back. For now, sticking with MikuMikuBeat. kb9vn list, parts of DevaiantArt club is pretty much covering the downloads and advice, we however, are a third party that lets readers know that MMD is largely used as promotion of Vocaloids by music video. c/p to O Herman -- Bunai82 (talk) 18:07, May 19, 2011 (UTC)

MMD "Default" Models Edit

Sorry but one of the MMD model creators contacted me, and said that File:MMD Default models.png included some fanmade models and that the misunderstanding by the picture brought a mess to the creator. I corrected its description on MMD page, but could you rename the file for clarification? Damesukekun 14:45, May 22, 2011 (UTC)

Re: So Edit

hm I found it more convenient just to scroll and look at the gallery ^^;; maybe see what readers think of it by doing a poll. -- Bunai82 (talk) 15:51, May 29, 2011 (UTC)

SailorEarth Edit

Is she ready to talk about the MMD matter with us? Did she contact us? Damesukekun 00:55, May 31, 2011 (UTC)

I'm afraid no, Damesukekun. A lot has transpired since my first report to you at this matter. She even edited one of ISAO's WIndows 100% model on purpose. The result? She got a direct warning from ISAO himself!
She attracted a vicious internet troll far worse than the vippers and this is the result: http://bit.ly/l4hMLr
Written there are the events that led to her seemingly crashing downfall. O Herman 04:04, May 31, 2011 (UTC)
I never support the harsh treatment on ED, but I believe we should alert her to users.
The problem is when we should put her name on the list again. Damesukekun 06:19, May 31, 2011 (UTC)
Indeed. Our jurisdiction is in Vocaloid Wiki alone. Whatever actions or incidents occur beyond this is not our responsibility. Sometimes I wonder why other editors still care for her reputation by sparing the revelation of her name when it's all but condemned. O Herman 06:31, May 31, 2011 (UTC)

Blacklisting Procedure Edit

We have learned an important lesson for blacklisting a suspicious user. We give a violator the warning that we will blacklist him/her first. He/She has one week to explain his/her stance. If no reply, we can go ahead. We display this procedure on the top page so that no one can doubt our neutral position. This idea works, right? Damesukekun 13:32, May 31, 2011 (UTC)

Kinda like getting both sides before we come across a ruling. Kinda like that earlier case with the fraloids back at UTAU wiki. I'm good with that idea. O Herman 14:01, May 31, 2011 (UTC)

Vandalism Edit

Don't know, kind of tired now. Not sure what the vandalism was for or how banning someone would work in favor. Keep it minimal. -- Bunai82 (talk) 10:55, June 3, 2011 (UTC)

Alright, well not much else to do. Wikia staff is already aware, which is why they blacklist certain sites and names. CNSE is going through us is to make contact with the people she wronged, so hopefully that will be out of the way soon. Still pretty pointless page about the situation though.
For some reason long talkpages bother me lol -- Bunai82 (talk) 14:36, June 3, 2011 (UTC)

Stuff Edit

I PM-ed you. Could you check your mail? Damesukekun 23:57, June 4, 2011 (UTC)

Oookay, have fun. -- Bunai82 (talk) 03:55, June 8, 2011 (UTC)

Anyway, not sure what else to say about the files... pfft. I guess a thumb caption on what it is going to say. -- Bunai82 (talk) 15:08, June 9, 2011 (UTC)

Drop-note Edit

Hey, congrats on becoming an admin. You deserve it.

Anyway, just a little suggestion I want to poke about - The Vocaloid sub-bar at the bottom of every Vocaloid page (Tempalte:Nav_Mainbox) is doing pretty well, but it's pretty disorganized on the part of which company does which, not quite a good thing in a fandom where this gets confused a lot. However, I still want to somehow retain the Vocaloid 1 vs 2 setup and I'm not sure if it's possible to do both at once.

The Vocaloid 2 list is getting bigger and bigger and although it's probably screeching to a halt with Vocaloid 3, it's kind of disorienting to see that large clump of Vocaloid 2 Vocaloids just stuffed together like that in vague order of chronology. What do you think we should do? Only dead fish go with the flow. 02:46, June 14, 2011 (UTC)

Hm, splitting it altogether is probably a good idea. That template is kind of getting somewhat cluttered, with tangentially Vocaloid-related stuff at the bottom. Granted, this template dates back to when the wiki was tiny and those were practically the only pages there, but with all these expansions we're gong to need to tweak this. Only dead fish go with the flow. 08:23, June 14, 2011 (UTC)

See community portal talkpage to discuss Nav Templates. -- Bunai82 (talk) 16:14, June 14, 2011 (UTC)

0_o it wasn't a demand silly, just a heads-up for later when you have time. I am busy being lazy XD. Perhaps you should go lay down for a bit. -- Bunai82 (talk) 16:29, June 14, 2011 (UTC)
Alrighty ^_^b I'll be on and off due to organizing my computer files and various other projects I can't seem to find the time for lol. Oh yeah, I still need to finish those company pages arg. -- Bunai82 (talk) 16:50, June 14, 2011 (UTC)
I'll see if Wikia Staff or experienced user who can do something, or try to make it less confusing. Bai -- Bunai82 (talk) 16:58, June 14, 2011 (UTC)

Re: A note Edit

Well, first I hope you are doing alright. Second, I thought had moved about a month ago? Sad to know things have escalated. I would feel better once you moved out of such a stressful situation. Wikia wise, it will definitely take a dip without you being here :( I am not much for information gathering, but I think I can do the basic updates around the site. -- Bunai82 (talk) 00:37, June 20, 2011 (UTC)

Take your time... ^_^
Though of course I would like to see you back here as soon as possible XD lol -- Bunai82 (talk) 18:15, June 20, 2011 (UTC)
Haha... I logged myself off of the wikia system to comment anonymously elsewhere and now due to a computer technical issue I can't log on. ITS A GOOD START! :-D 94.168.119.106 19:26, June 20, 2011 (UTC)
Not sure I get it ^^;;
Anyway, to the name order, I put them there because we agreed to have it as such when I moved the pages to Jnp order. Did you change your mind? -- Bunai82 (talk) 22:14, June 20, 2011 (UTC)
Keeping it around a bit more won't hurt. I thought VO didn't even read the wiki lol. -- Bunai82 (talk) 12:40, June 22, 2011 (UTC)

lol its to point out admins of the wiki, I am trying to figure out exclusion methods, but currently it will highlight your name all places (on this wiki). -- Bunai82 (talk) 13:39, June 22, 2011 (UTC)

What is this "Top 10 list" thing and how did it appear? -- Bunai82 (talk) 16:18, June 24, 2011 (UTC)

Just wanted to know, since someone made a poll... of some sort but I didn't know what to do with it. Or why she made it. -- Bunai82 (talk) 23:36, June 24, 2011 (UTC)

I've been working on some Vocaloid stuff but I'm not going to meet the Sonika/Tonio birthday, which is annoyikng me because I missed the Ann one as it is. ¬_¬ 92.20.247.209 12:26, June 28, 2011 (UTC)

Touhou wiki links Edit

Hi! I'm Tony64! ^,^

As you can see on my contributions, I change the Touhou links to the "real" wiki. (lol it has an international front page)

I just thought on letting you... Any question about the wiki your free to ask! ^,^ --Tony64 23:23, August 4, 2011 (UTC)

Testing... Edit

1...2...3...4...5...

Yep it works, I'm back! >:-D One-Winged Hawk 10:42, August 6, 2011 (UTC)

Thought Edit

I am honestly not sure if I'd like producer thumbnails. I can just imagine the amount of tiny little images that would be on the wiki. -- Bunai82 (talk) 20:52, August 11, 2011 (UTC)

Basically see any recent producer page edits or new files. Not a problem about replies, I am also on another wiki trying to get things in order. -- Bunai82 (talk) 20:56, August 11, 2011 (UTC)

I am also two steps away from removing links to any touhou wiki, this feud is slowly getting on my bad side. -- Bunai82 (talk) 20:54, August 11, 2011 (UTC)

I am not sure, I guess reference would be the purpose, even then it seems these two editors turned it into something personal. -- Bunai82 (talk) 21:50, August 11, 2011 (UTC)
Not a problem, do what you feel is best. As I said I am close to just removing them in general or using a double referene. -- Bunai82 (talk) 22:45, August 11, 2011 (UTC)
There is many more, so check both their edit histories: His and Hers?. -- Bunai82 (talk)
That clear things up slight. Obvious we don't know about any ban, and I would like to see this statement by Wikia staff. Since many wikis on wikia, can and do link to other wikis if they make better reference to the subject. I still don't like someone altering a talk page without a full explanation, that is up to the owner of the talk page or the current admins. -- Bunai82 (talk) 19:32, August 12, 2011 (UTC)

Also, can you check this answer on the wiki. It is about how many Vocaloids there are and how many are 'in waiting', I might link to one of the VO threads about it. see here.-- Bunai82 (talk) 15:36, August 12, 2011 (UTC)

Hi Edit

Technically, there is only one wikia and one independent wiki. The independent wiki wants nothing to do with Wikia at all and will not link to Wikia, as they have said, several times, in several different places.

The independent wiki link has been posted in many wikia places by some people because they are saying that the wikia version is not the real version, even though we are keeping it up and none of us are official. The link to the independent wiki is banned because it was used in vandalism and some of the people from the other wiki continue to spam it everywhere whenever the get the chance.

I am removing the banned independent links, and I have stated in the comment that it is banned from all wikia wikis. I am not bringing it to every single wiki administrator, the user who does not edit on Wikia anymore is. One of the editors from the other wiki is bringing it everywhere he sees a touhou wikia link on wikia.

Tony64 has a problem with the Touhou wiki on wikia because a lot of the editors moved to the independent wiki. We have been nice to them and have tried to accommodate their wishes, but they only wish that we leave wikia entirely and stop editing, which we are not up to doing.

The case has already been brought to wikia staff, which is why the link to the independent touhou wiki is banned. It has been banned for months because they continue to remove our Wikia link and post theirs up in its place on WIKIA wikis. Their reason for doing this is because there can be only one wiki on a topic. I altered the talk page because the link is banned from wikia entirely. The Wikia administrators understand and have done the same thing in the past, but sorry for not writing on your page that the link is banned. I wrote it in the comment when I removed it, which I thought would suffice. --Imanie 18:58, August 12, 2011 (UTC)

We (me and the other administrator) hoped we would be able to coexist, but it's been almost a year since they split and went off-site, and I don't see it happening anymore. I will notify you and other active users next time. Sorry :3
We have tried talking to them and have talked to a number of them, but it doesn't seem to mean much. If you want more information, I can send you links of where we've spoken on the wiki and how we've tried to curb some of the vandalism that we get from staying on Wikia. I can also send you the talk page of where they spoke about moving away. I am sorry that you and your wiki were brought into this problem, though. --Imanie 19:29, August 12, 2011 (UTC)

Wikipedia Edit

You might want to add the wikia to the Vocaloid Wikipedia page. It would get a lot more people to look here and maybe help out. Plus.. there's no reason why not to add it there :p it doesn't hurt. --     Imanie   Talk     05:43, August 08, 2011

Awe :( Other pages have unofficial wikis listed on them. Like Zelda. I sort of think you could get away with it, the only reason why it might not work for One Piece is because it has so many pages on it. And... oh snap XD you work at the One Piece Wikia. I love that place. It's one of the places I look at when trying to make other wikis better. --     Imanie   Talk     01:23, August 08, 2011

vocaloid wiki for fanmades Edit

Not that I have free editing time as is. Anyway, I was looking through abandoned wikis about vocaloid and am thinking about adopting one to turn into a fanmade vocaloid wiki. I like the titles fanmadevocaloids and myvocaloid, so it could be one of those. The thing is, I am currently the admin of my own adopted wiki, this one(vocaloid wiki), and then mmd. So unless someone is very active and good at editing it will be hard to find a second admin if I am not around. I at least want to get an easy template and page set up going for any random editors. Most creators of fanmades are young and lack even the most basic editing skills.

If this idea is a no-go, then there has to be some kind of thing for this wiki, a new namespace for guest fanmades or something, and I still don't know why OHerman wants to keep the vocaloids that are not longer active, no one has yet to do anything with them and the lack of set up here makes it even more ugly to keep around. (couldn't think of a good way to describe the situation)

Re: here if you want.-- Bunai82 (talk) 04:24, August 15, 2011 (UTC)

Past discussion Talk:Original_Vocaloid_Characters.
I am just bringing it up again as the page creation is getting more numerous, even with the "notices". So the message was "I'm going to do this at some point, just to let you know" not a "I thought of a new idea" message. -- Bunai82 (talk) 14:38, August 15, 2011 (UTC)
I actually didn't know you were concerned on fanmades, since you seem busy with gathering upcoming information on Vocaloid. And we (including OHerman, damesukekun) never went beyond the discussion on the talk page. I really just want to clear things out and get people to go offsite to set up their fanmades. Since there have been proposed ones waiting for years, I question if they are even active anymore.
So is this a separate wiki or done here? If separate which one to choose?
I think a community / contributor vote would help jump start things. Basically a blog announcement about it. -- Bunai82 (talk) 16:15, August 15, 2011 (UTC)
Gonna see if I can adopt myvocaloid. If that doesn't work out due to it previously being a wiki about an actual site, then I will go with vocaloidfanmade or fanmadevocaloids. -- Bunai82 (talk) 14:06, August 17, 2011 (UTC)
Or maybe I should just create one? lol I thought of vocative... then saw that it was a real word XD Ha! *hits self*. Yeah, it seems some readers are coming for the fanmade info half the time. Which is understandable, since they already know the current, and we can't really update without constant information coming through.
I might just create one to save myself the time of adopting, because even when you propose an adoption you have to go through steps, and it seems staff doesn't like when you work (or are admin of) on like other wikis and try to grab a new one. sorry for the bad grammar -- Bunai82 (talk) 14:46, August 17, 2011 (UTC)
WOoo! bothering you again about this lol
Anyway, I settled on Fanloid Wiki and put in my proposal. I am currently not fully eligible until August passes because I became the alternate admin for MMD wiki and I also need to actually make some edits on Fanloid. I am hoping that the current admin doesn't spring into action to see what I am doing. They haven't been inactive on Wikia since Feb 2011, and inactive on Fanloid since Feb 2010. There have been vandal IPs, but nothing has come of that but another IP attempting to erase the vulgar edits. -- Bunai82 (talk) 18:26, August 17, 2011 (UTC)

vocaloid wiki for fanmades pt 2

Slowly being developed I just need to create a template using the UTAU table, seems favorable among people. I've shrunk things down enough to get the most basic idea when it comes to policies. ANYWAY, I needed your opinion on something, I might post in the Forum for more views.

What seems like a better category?

  • Derived from Hatsune Miku
  • Derivative of Hatsune Miku

This info important? Edit

Re: Ah Edit

See ya when you get back.
Also, I was approved for wiki adoption ^_^ I am still in the process of setting everything up and making sure it is easy to navigate. I hope to direct a number of eager creators to this new wiki. I tried to make da rules not so pushy and authoritative. They are pretty basic though. -- Bunai82 (talk) 00:49, August 21, 2011 (UTC)

That was quick lol
Yeah, I am still fine tuning the various policies, it is so if I am not there then at least someone can direct people to various pages and remind people about it. Basically "don't do mean things or spam on this wiki" is pretty much the policy XD lol. I am in the page layout process as I type this. There will be two layout styles in case no one likes the infobox. It is that Utau table thinga-ma-bob. -- Bunai82 (talk) 21:15, August 21, 2011 (UTC)
That's neat, I do wonder if they will commission Ash again for boxart. It is PFX that is holding my interest for V3.
lol Yeah, just travel around Youtube and see protest of "Haku is an official Vocaloid!!!11", even Teto is treated like that. Also, why delete the glossary term for Vocaloid Append? -- Bunai82 (talk) 01:09, August 23, 2011 (UTC)
Thanks for the reply, I was thinking of calling it "extra voice bank" or something similar (lol) when I created it, but since there was only Crypton out, I just put Append, and much of the fanbase picked up the trend about Appends from Crypton even though other companies will use a different term. And yes, that generator site is amusing, I'll like it. Though I wish there were some input sections... then again I guess you can click it and then replace some of the text with your own. -- Bunai82 (talk) 15:45, August 23, 2011 (UTC)

Ouch. You see this posting and entry from 2008 about Vocaloid? Here, and the click the link to the blog. *sniffles* and a bit of lol -- Bunai82 (talk) 02:09, August 23, 2011 (UTC)

I would personally love to hear Sweet Ann as a Vocaloid 3 with a slight upgrade. I guess you have to get into Vocaloid to accept the quirky voices and realize they will always have that obvious synthesized voice, because at no point have V2 sounded realistic enough to be human, but have sounded realistic in a sense that the producer added those right amount of peaks and vocal blends to make you notice and like it.
And no, I have heard of Fierce Dranzer. -- Bunai82 (talk) 15:45, August 23, 2011 (UTC)

Re:BTW Edit

Since this vandal has jumped to three IPs already, I doubt the 9999 thing will do much to deter them lol. And you'd have to be pretty patient troll to wait a year to come back and vandalize a page. There is just something about seeing thousand numbers for blocks that just bother me. Sorry -- Bunai82 (talk) 18:57, August 29, 2011 (UTC)

I saw about retiring Song PagesEdit

You say you will retire song pages and keep the one in the hall of fame, Mind if I help?

For the past few days, I've been updating Song pages and revamping them to be useful, and relinking them in in Notable song pages, while clearing out and making the pertaining song better during my spare time. I've managed to track down certain videos from Youtube, and put it on notable song pages along with other song pages. I could help clean up the mess in the Hall of Fame and other Notable song pages. Well, I'm not the only one helping, but Esperancia, Adept and Bunai helped with cleaning out the clutter.

My goal was to make useless pages useful and insightful once again. Right now, I'm searching other things and trying to correct pages, but I'm a bit reluctant in editing, with past edit wars taking place and I don't want anyone to be hindered. So mind if I help out in cleaning the song related pages? I'm no expert in wiki editing, but I try to make it worth while.K4KING 09:01, August 31, 2011 (UTC)

I take it that as I'll help you around or I'll back off. Cause for a moment there you kinda made me a bit scarred, well shocked and intimidated. |≧∆≦)
But yeah, I'm willing to help with song pages, as I am doing now, to help ease the burden a bit. I think everyone here in the wikia agrees it's time to clean up and help with the song page. I'll try to revamp things and make it less clutterlike. I've already began on Vocaloid Song pages. The Notable Song pages and Hall of Fame, are my next target. K4KING 09:15, August 31, 2011 (UTC)
Wai!!! Wai!!!! Now I have Eagle's Ok! yay!!! Yay!! Now to get to work! K4KING 09:25, August 31, 2011 (UTC)
Truth to be told, the reason I joined the wiki, is to help the western fans know more about it, and I want this to feel like "The Official Vocaloid" Wiki ever created. I dunno what drove me here, I dunno what motivates me so dearly, But I want this to be good, like how I felt in the Japanese Fandom =w=.
I think it's a good phase where everyone will soon get into it, but we might see bumps in the road ahead. This is a mere beginning. VocaloidOtaku, Vocaloidism, may be small but they are expanding. Well, at least now we can get things rolling once more. One thing now I hate now is the Nyappon invite thing. <_< Isn't being a fan enough? I still don't see the appeal of being in Nyappon that much.
It seems I have dragged here too long, I'll get back to searching. Thank you for your time reading. K4KING 09:51, August 31, 2011 (UTC)
Impossible alone, but with help and the right people, It's Possible. Nothing seems to stop me from doing what I like. but I also put others goals first before mine. We just have to do our part. I'll do what I can. =w=
One thing will remain though in every fandom, there will be stupid people. There is a bit of everything in every fandom. K4KING 14:35, August 31, 2011 (UTC)

Lapis Edit

Hi!

I just saw lapis' page is wrong, her Name is "Lapis" not "Aoki".

Aoki is her firstname, please can you correct this?

Thanks!

R: Lapis Edit

Yes but "Ring Suzune" and "Lui Hibiki" are writed with their lastnames. or I'm wrong?

A lot of people being confused by Lapis's firstname, so everybody thinks that "Aoki" is her lastname.

I'll be messin' with the characer infobox Edit

Just giving a heads up, I rearranged and added information in sections. Also, the current box does not appear correct on IE. The revised version should function the same and be easy to edit. -- Bunai82 (talk) 19:03, September 6, 2011 (UTC)

Is Vocaloid 1 compatible with Vocaloid 2? As in, able to run on the V2 or use samples from V1 on V2. Hope that makes sense. -- Bunai82 (talk) 20:15, September 6, 2011 (UTC)
Thanks for the reply. I wasn't sure what to do with the status, but mostly just there to give a quick glance if the Vocaloid is still distributed or supported. It seems like a "whatever works best" type of parameter.
New question, For the Product code and Reduced number, I found all of them from Japanese sites and stores, they are consistent. However, I am unsure where to place each code. For example, Nekomura
  • Product Code: VOCALOID2 猫村いろは
  • Reduced Number: SAHS-40775
Now is the product code the SAHS part? I was basing my placement off of Cryptons way of marking Zero-G and PX Vocaloids. -- Bunai82 (talk) 17:24, September 7, 2011 (UTC)
It's pretty standard for character infoboxes just to give more physical feel for the character despite an image at the top. Some images are clearer than others, mini example, Tonio being in black-n-white, Iroha's two identities; there was also a question on Answer wiki about the hair and eye color which partially motivated me to add them. I personally don't find it bothersome, as I like to read infoboxes for some quick stats. Unless you're going to take the image out of gallery mode and increase the size. -- Bunai82 (talk) 18:18, September 7, 2011 (UTC)

Whitelist Edit

I want to know if is possible put in whitelist to these image servers:

I want to try load the thumbnails from those servers for the my attempt of Template for the the song's derivatives (Fanmade PVs, fandubs, cover, remixes). The idea is avoid flood this wikia's server with images.

Sonika song icon Edit

Me and Yumi-san are revamping Sonika's notable song page, and there's this little problem with this song image icon. It's stuck like that, I don't know why (I do hope this is only me and my silly laptop creating cache error.. thingy) it still has the original picture's look. I've reverted/undone/edit/etc but to no avail :( Can you delete the file? I'll upload a new and better one. Thank you. Esperancia 14:28, September 10, 2011 (UTC)

I know what you mean by "messy--all over the page-ish" but that's what I'm trying to work out--using a more systematic-looking template. If you're talking about Miku's page in particular, we can do nothing about it since in reality she really does have a lot of popular and more-than-1-million-views songs. But for other Vocaloids (especially English ones) this setting might work out; that's what I think though.

I'm not inclined to retire the pages since, what can I say, even if in the end we do have each individual page song, we still need one page whose role is to present a big fat list of the songs...

PS: Thanks for deleting the image! Esperancia 23:50, September 10, 2011 (UTC)

Re: figurines Edit

First, don't link to the navigation template, it should link to a figure page (or some kind of introduction page) and the nav placed at the bottom. It would also be nice to have some information on each of these pages, unless the idea is just a gallery page? -- Bunai82 (talk) 17:00, September 23, 2011 (UTC)

The idea for figure by company is good. So continue ^_^ -- Bunai82 (talk) 17:08, September 23, 2011 (UTC)
Just erase the table and use the figure page as the base page.
I had a fall myself some weeks ago, still waiting on xray results. Can you not place a carpet or some coarse material on the steps to prevent this in the future? Get well though. -- Bunai82 (talk) 17:24, September 23, 2011 (UTC)
Lol, clearly this carpet defines the laws of friction. -- Bunai82 (talk) 17:28, September 23, 2011 (UTC)
I don't think this wiki needs to keep track of every BRS figure, I think the page can be duplicated onto the BRS wiki, if the admin wants it. Vocaloid and BRS will always be close, no doubt about that.
"Wrong type carpet". -- Bunai82 (talk) 17:34, September 23, 2011 (UTC)
Alright. I'll just be doing...whatever lol
My work on the Fanloid wiki is now on the presentation stage and I will also be reprinting some fanmades (such as Neru) pages on to the wiki and tagging it as a copy. I don't believe the current fanmades with information should be deleted from this wiki, as they are pretty detailed and have some status. Luckily it is barely a handfull.
I am pretty lazy on gathering Vocaloid 3 information (to be honest); there doesn't seem to be anything happening right now besides artwork and demos, this is something that Vocaloidism handles quite well. -- Bunai82 (talk) 17:47, September 23, 2011 (UTC) edit was there something wrong with the Pullip page? -- Bunai82 (talk) 17:49, September 23, 2011 (UTC)
oh okay. lol why not just redirect it? -- Bunai82 (talk) 18:00, September 23, 2011 (UTC)

Idea for Notable songs Edit

Since it is the name that seems to be causing confusion and a bit of frustration.

How about renaming the page "Songs featuring (name of Vocaloid)". Because with the new template being used on the pages, it can be a placeholder to link to songs pages that have lyrics and history etc. Also many producers title their albums and songs as "(Producer/Group) ft. (name of Vocaloid)", they basically treat the Vocaloid as a guest vocalist, in particular Supercell.

The covers will have to be removed, as they can be handled by the individual YT list. Though for Sonika, Sweet Ann and Big Al, they have demos... so should those remain? It would be amusing to have Sweet Ann vs Kitto page. -- Bunai82 (talk) 15:19, September 25, 2011 (UTC)

So, how is this idea getting along? I pretty much agree to rename them into "Songs featuring (name of Vocaloid". And I'll work out how you guys want the page to be, so please keep suggesting ideas (such as wanting to remove cover songs, etc) Esperancia 00:09, October 10, 2011 (UTC)

So does that mean you'd agree if I rename them? Esperancia 09:24, October 10, 2011 (UTC)

Okay, thank you! I'll get to the voting now! xD Esperancia 09:32, October 10, 2011 (UTC)

Secret... Edit

You got it Boss! I'll Just- aRth!?

THANK GOD YES! He is caught! WAHOO!!! I'll get on it on creating the page. Also, I kinda feel sorry about the....Problem. Yes, I'm a lurker- Eep. I know about CNSE. I hope you can sort it out well. Now which picture to use for Secret.....K4KING 15:11, October 10, 2011 (UTC)

Probably cause I love helping This community(That, and I REALLY REALLY REALLY Would like a Vocaloid artist get noticed in my place where I can party harty). And I Wish I could really help, but Dame and you know more than me. I'm just the guy who helps with songs. Looking at this, I think it's an addiction, but in reality, I'm just to god damn in love with it. Like Pokemon and Zelda :D

I'll make the page within 1 or 2 hours. Just the basic Feel free to edit the it later. I'll put a link to the page when it's Skeleton and pre-mature layout is done. And I'm not a good editor, although i am structured.

Oh, I better say this(Sorry if this is out of line) If CNSE is going to be bigger than this.....I fear it will cause a major disruption....Just like how Yahoo Google did before with censoring Miku. But worse, like relationships of western and eastern and south east asia......Gone. That or I'm being paranoid. It worries me...K4KING 15:19, October 10, 2011 (UTC)

AND the page is Done. Feel free to edit it as you wish. I also will make a category for targetted works or topics of Plagirism and controversy. I think I'll call the category (Targets of Plagiarism or Controversy)K4KING 15:53, October 10, 2011 (UTC)

Mainpage and Fanmade Q Edit

After some errors lol I think I managed to make it look decent and kept all the templates. The four polls kind of threw me off when it came to balancing. But anyway, it seems to work at the bottom. My question is, should related wikis go in the middle of the page, or should be be on the side under the Community section?

Also, I know it is not of your interest, but how should the current famade pages be handled? I would prefer that fanmades and fanmade mascots that had some kind of significance to the fandom, remain on the wiki while a duplicated can be on the Fanloid Wiki. Though this also includes pages that are already complete and established here like O Herman's characters. For example Kasane Keko is known among the western fandom be it controversial or not. And Shiteyan'yo has gotten popular enough that even people outside Japan know what it is by name. Yet things like "SeeMi" (male genderbend idea of SeeU) is just spur of the moment and done for the heck of it, he doesn't have impact or community backing like Hatsune Mikuo. I plan to clear out the proposed list of inactive characters (but will contact the owners) I just don't want more fanmade pages here because it seems people believe Vocaloid Wiki will get them publicity. -- Bunai82 (talk) 00:39, October 14, 2011 (UTC)

We got a new Vocaloid Edit

Her name, is Tone Rion. Outfit- Maidlike. picture. A silhouette.

Proof: http://www.nicovideo.jp/vonama

She is on the last Panel on the bottom right.

There's gonna be a 3-day Vocaloid Namahousou. Just linked ya, since you are the boss in charge of Vocaloids here. I can't make the page yet. She is currently, unknown, as in no new info but a sillhouette. I made a page in advance in case you might want to edit.

Good luck angel, and Sorry if I seem pushy. I'm psyched about it. K4KING 17:07, October 14, 2011 (UTC)

QuestionEdit

Seeing as the PV for Caprishio Farce has been released, shouldn't the english lyrics for it be moved? Cause currently there under "Lyrics for PV-Less Songs" on the evillious chronicles page. Just wondering what should be done seeing as the song now has a pv. 75.74.52.42 15:45, October 30, 2011 (UTC)

O_O Oh.... Edit

<---Not incharge of Engloid Songs

The page showed a bit of favoritism in my opinion, but then again, I just to conclusions, the page was more focused on the 3DPV, and not the original one. I apologize. =-=" God I really did not took that into consideration. I need to tone down my assumptions...

I recall Bunai making the page Creepy Song, probably since it's a notable Sonika Song. K4KING 16:00, November 10, 2011 (UTC)

I also made it because there are no English Vocaloid songs on the wiki. Also because the song was notable and caught on with Western listeners. I planned to link English lyrics from Western producer pages, it was just to showcase some Vocaloid songs by non-Japanese. -- Bunai82 (talk) 17:29, November 10, 2011 (UTC)
Well that sticks it. it stays :D K4KING 17:54, November 10, 2011 (UTC)

Cover Songs huh? Edit

Use this category for tagging vocaloid cover songs: http://vocaloid.wikia.com/wiki/Category:Vocaloid_Cover_Song

As for prioritizing which Cover song to make, Consider the ff:

If the song has garnered MASSIVE attention from Vocaloid fans. E.g. Ievan Polkka, World is Mine, Eeh? Aa, Sou?(I'll make the main page soon, work is a killer.) Rolling girl, Kokoro, Popipo, Nyanyanyanyanyanya! etc. If the cover song has also become popular due to controversy, memedom, vocaloid promotion, a song that has influenced the fandom majorly in anyway(good and bad, like Secret, it made vocaloid users aware to guard their songs, their integrity is instake when someone tries to plagiarize or take credit of the song)or due to a certain PV pertaining to that song, then it fits.

As for lyrics.....Copypasta the lyrics section of the song from the available song page, otherwise, I can edit it later to modify it for reading pleasure.

If you're going to list cover songs, I suggest getting some songs from the available song pages. (There are a LOT of covers in Youtube and NND of the hit popular songs per vocaloid)

Hope this helps. K4KING 12:38, November 14, 2011 (UTC)

Well then, If songs used in demos have similarity, then it counts as a special case. Yeah, go ahead make em =w= K4KING 16:50, November 14, 2011 (UTC)
Seeing the pages, I kinda like it. :D K4KING 09:01, November 20, 2011 (UTC)
Hrmm....How bout using one of their demo songs? If they don't have a demo, I'll just randomly pick 3 or 2 or 1 song then. I'll make time within this week to do it. K4KING 09:35, November 20, 2011 (UTC)

Youtube ListsEdit

I've noticed that someone has posted songs to the SeeU youtube list from korean websites. Should these be deleted since they can't be found on youtube? Taboo6938 16:28, November 15, 2011 (UTC)

I want to thank you for letting me know about getting the pictures on different wedsites and that picture on my profile. :)

Examples of "usage" Edit

I want to help in the examples of usage, and wanted to start today with Meiko and Kaito first, but I don't understand...

1. Popularity doesn't matter because it's an "example" of usage, right?

2. ... Isn't it better to give the original links rather than a 'nice' fanmade PV of it? (I'm talking about Cendrillion in Kaito's page) Because lots of popular videos only have single illust, some, at least. The usual Genjitsutouhi-P is an example.

3. I'm not sure about the Kagamines. Should I just put duets for all the samples? (They have the most voicebanks... Act 1, Act 2, appends... But I know a song with all voicebanks combine)

4. I'm thinking of putting the "legendary masters" Ps in the songs... Since there's a reason why they were given such a title. But I only know Kaito, Meiko, Rin/Len and Iroha for that...

5. About the "description". So it should be the reason why the song is in there? Unknown.System 00:19, November 21, 2011 (UTC)

Riccardo Carrera? Edit

Hello, I have a problem. I think Riccardo Carrera is back.

There's a YT account called Ricardop19951 (http://www.youtube.com/user/Ricardop19951)

He speaks and spanish and has all of the same Vocaloids.

I also put this on the Blacklist page but I wanted to come to you as well.

What should we do?

Plantmageskelly 04:20, November 21, 2011 (UTC)

Which age had Ricardo Carrera? Because the guy in that account says that he is 16 years old and Ricardo is a common name. I don't think Ricardo C. would be so fool to use his real name after the whole previous problem, possibly is another Ricardo. Besides he isn't doing Spanish songs, that was a characteristic thing of clandangosama. Adept-eX 04:43, November 21, 2011 (UTC)

Okay, thank you for your attention to the subject. I appreciate it. YOU HAVE PUT MY SOUL AT REST

Cover Songs Category Edit

  • is actually tired of contributing*

Umm....... I think I have to ask this now.

For the Cover Songs Category, is there any pages I can refer to other than Ievan Polka? I can't really start anything on that category. My head is a bit dizzy really looking at all the red links. YumiNakamine

Oh... I see... copyright issues are really getting on my nerves really. Anywho, must it be new year? I mean, I'm not sure myself if I can still contribute here next year (If I get to go to a boarding school, I'm far from the Internet. But if I go, I'lll have extra two weeks of vacation. Still enough time to join the meeting. I'll see first) Ah... I see..... The western things, forgive me because I was the one whom been adding the English producers (not all are western actually) This is actually the first time I contributed for 5 hours straight, which is why I'm a bit blurred. YumiNakamine
Finally forced myself rearrange Ievan Polkka. It's quite neater. (But I'm gonna keep the Miku lyrics for now till Vocaloid Lyrics Wiki is up again. :D) So now, can I add other songs like Fly Me To The Moon? YumiNakamine

QuestionEdit

I've seen one of the users going through the YouTube lists removing links of songs that no longer exist on YouTube. That being said, should the title be deleted since it's no longer there? Or should it be left in the hopes that someone will reupload it again in the future? Taboo6938 15:41, December 15, 2011 (UTC)

About proposed fanmade entries Edit

I require more time to go through the history before deletion. I like to be thorough with my projects and information. This includes the abandons, although I can copy it in one swoop, I want the usernames. -- Bunai82 (talk) 21:36, December 31, 2011 (UTC)

I have a to-do list (my blog entry) and it is active. Also before the decision to remove the fanmade pages entirely, I made it a point to get the current ones sorted or deleted. What came later was transferring them to Fanloid wiki; that requires time in itself when it comes to information gathering instead of copy/paste.
I never saw a reason to create individual pages for them on Vocaloid wiki as I thought they interfered with the official information. You created them, and I figured you were trying something new and I followed suit, as your plan was to revamp or remove the other Fanmade pages, but months past and both of us got side tracked doing other things to build the wiki.
Besides Vocaloid Wiki I do have my other wiki to maintain and update.
To keep you posted, I will put a delete template on the pages that I have transferred to Fanloid Wiki, this includes categories. The images I can get to on my own. Though I would like your view on Kaiko and Ca Calne. -- Bunai82 (talk) 22:14, December 31, 2011 (UTC)
Apparently Ca Calne now is officially recognized by CFM, so I think she should continue. Also Shitteyan'yo] shouldn't be moved, the character makes an apparition in the Project Diva games showing some recognizing by Crypton

Unfortantely, yeah... The were a lot of sudden distractions, that and I wasn't sure if what I did was for the best for the wikia so I had to stop editing them. :-/ One-Winged Hawk 01:20, January 5, 2012 (UTC)

About strength weakness section Edit

Is there a better way to present that without all sections taking up the page and to TOC? It looks really awkward, especially on Miku's page. -- Bunai82 (talk) 22:39, January 6, 2012 (UTC)

I was more referring to reducing the subheaders, by putting them as a bold using wiki text instead. The font gets so tiny the more subheaders are added. -- Bunai82 (talk) 23:29, January 10, 2012 (UTC)

Youtube songlistEdit

Hi ! Angel... I don't know how to phrase this, and this is a little stupid but here goes ..... An example...

  • Original song : World is mine (vocal = Hatsune Miku)
  • Cover song : World is mine (vocal = Kagamine Rin for example)
  • Original song : World is mine Hatsune Miku's Remix(vocal = Hatsune Miku)
  • Then what is ??? : World is mine Kagamine Rin's Remix (Vocal = Kagamine Rin for example)

In this case its like created with Kagamine rin as original but is a cover song from Hatusne Miku

And also a remix section would not be feasible right ?? (cause only more famous vocaloid have remixes found on youtube or something like that)

Luvmenot 15:05, January 12, 2012 (UTC)

Get well soon~ !! See a doctor if you are really feeling unwell .......

Wow !! Found this remix while typing this.... Its from Dixie Flatline (well this kinda serve as a get well song or something like that).

Noted. I will be careful in regards to the cover and remixes ..

Examples of usage Edit

If you don't mind, I'll be changing a few of them; to legendary master Ps. Those who can handle them well, so people can know their... True potential, or, some sort. It's been bugging me ever since that section was first created. Heh.

I hope you don't mind. Unknown.System 12:52, January 17, 2012 (UTC)

Alright, I'll start with the ones I know first... Though I'm afraid to touch the English speaking Vocaloids' page, since I'm sure you know better.

I'm thinking of adding at least 1 cover song so people can make a comparison, and that's pretty much it. Unknown.System 13:07, January 17, 2012 (UTC)

Oh... So first impressions... :o

Hnn, I won't add more than 3, this wiki already has lots of songs (YT list, songs featuring,) I'm sure it's more than enough.. Unknown.System 13:24, January 17, 2012 (UTC)

Idea for remaining genderswaps Edit

The three Crypton ones specifically. As conversation here states - Talk:SeeU. Only reason that their pages are still here is because I was thinking of what to do with them, I didn't want to delete their pages simply based on the content being copied to Fanloid wiki. I only want to delete them after I know what to do. Their existence is what really spurred on the Vocaloid genderswap idea that continues to this day, even though genderswapping is a popular thing in general. The arrival of Mikuo and Kaiko is what got it to be so popular with Vocaloid fans.

Anyway the creation of the Miku formula page finally gave me the idea about how to handle it. I can use their history (maybe some trivia) and place it on a page that explains early ideas of Vocaloid genderswaps. The voice config, songs, appearances, and (likely) traits can be eliminated, since everything on the pages are already on Fanloid wiki and also expanded upon. -- Bunai82 (talk) 18:59, February 2, 2012 (UTC)

I was going by your energy, which is why I figured if the rest of the fanmades and fanon were off the Vocaloid wiki then eventually the three remaining Crypton genderswaps would be as well even if I did nothing. I was wondering if CFM would noticed how popular Kaiko was, though I am unsure if they delayed their acknowledgment because they have a problem with their characters being portrayed as a different gender and or personality. Anyway, if Kaiko gets to remain then that just leaves Meito and Mikuo to remove and merge, unless CFM says something about Mikuo. -- Bunai82 (talk) 01:32, February 3, 2012 (UTC) edit Would you mind if I linked fanmade pages in the trivia of the official Vocaloid pages? For example, male SeeU appears to be getting quite popular, but I don't want that to overshadow SeeU's trivia, so instead just mention him and link his page (if and when it is created). -- Bunai82 (talk) 01:39, February 3, 2012 (UTC)
Guess I'll go with the genderswap page then... or something like that. Just need to think of a title. -- Bunai82 (talk) 15:24, February 3, 2012 (UTC)

Hi,

So I can know what is going on. Why did you remove the 'Template:FanmadeArticleCopied' from Kaiko's page? Is the template too large? Unneeded? Intrusive? -- Bunai82 (talk) 17:09, February 12, 2012 (UTC)

Okay, though just to make sure, do you want me to do anything else with it? -- Bunai82 (talk) 17:27, February 12, 2012 (UTC)
lol, I know that ^_^
I was referring to the templates appearance. I like to give credit to what I copy, so that is why it is on the fanmade pages, even the base fanmade page. -- Bunai82 (talk) 17:37, February 12, 2012 (UTC)
lol, sign off for a bit and rest.
Yeah, I am still thinking about the page merge. At least with the current acknowledged ones. That still leaves Mikuo and Meito for a project history page. Have you ever dealt with a character page list that is extensive? As in, the information about the character being lengthy, and each would at least have a infobox adapted to the listing page.
I can try sandboxing an idea of what to do about the Crypton fanmades, but it does mean trying to fit their trivia into their biography. Anyway, I will be off and on, because currently I'll be updating my wiki for the week. -- Bunai82 (talk) 17:50, February 12, 2012 (UTC)
Alright. I'll let you continue. ^_^
I won't be really showing any work on the idea until tonight, my time. -- Bunai82 (talk) 17:55, February 12, 2012 (UTC)

explanation?Edit

Ok about that.... I asked bunai regarding the song pages that uses templates... In short we agreed that we would change it back to song list until a better idea comes out.... You can refer to my talk page about question regarding songlist section about bunai reply...

I'd like to go back to the template method, but I think it would be best for the song pages if a template was created that allowed videos side by side. We could put just the name of the song and have the picture then. But leave it for a future ponder. One-Winged Hawk 22:05, February 14, 2012 (UTC)

Very Sorry for This Long Absence Edit

I'm very sorry for this long absence. I decided to change my job and have been preparing for my new career. Now the things are going on as usual again and I'm back here. Damesukekun 13:59, April 8, 2012 (UTC)

Re: noteEdit

It's funny cause I was originally going to wait at least until the end of this week or so to choose them. This way there was time for some better songs to be released. But at the end I just decided on a whim to get them up.><'Taboo6938 10:08, April 17, 2012 (UTC)

NoticesEdit

I just want to write some of my concerns regarding the comment section of IA and Miku, there has been a sudden discussion between a lot of Anons regarding ‘who‘s best‘ and IMO it‘s getting a bit out of control.

And another things i wanna post out now that i have the chance is the YouTube list of Miriam, a lot of covers got mixed in with the Originals, and that some artist pages are written as like if it was crazy fangirls that wrote/edit the info. --MikeFire 04:33, April 23, 2012 (UTC)w

Hi :"> Can I add my Fanloid here in VOcaloid :D ???Kenandli123 03:39, May 9, 2012 (UTC)

Sorry if I'm overreacting or mixing VO and wikia business, but I saw the argument you got in with Mini on VO forums. I would like to say that you are a very valued member of the community that provides a lot of quality information, and puts a lot of hard work into the wikia. I, for one, appreciate your hard work and contributions to the fandom. I lurk on the VO forums, making posts every now and then, and also use the wikia a lot. You are a very involved and active member of the community. I may have never really had a conversation with you, but it just wouldn't quite be the same to go onto a VO forum and not see SomebodyRandom posting in the Vocaloid Talk section or Angel Emfrbl gracing the wikia article comments with his/her presence. So, I would just like to say... please don't leave the Vocaloid fandom. We would be losing an excellent member of our community.

Sure, there are idiots, like in any fandom. And it's easy to listen to the people who are negative rather than the ones who say good things. I know it's really hard, but I think it's a waste of your time and energy taking it personally. People like Mini can just be... uh... to be frank, assholes. I would say that dealing with Mini in general isn't a good idea. As you've said before, and as I've seen and read, Mini is just taking cheap shots at the Wikia. It's probably for no other reason than to get you riled up. You've already given her/him chances to fix it, but I don't think Mini wants to invest time in actually making anything better. It is easier just to rave about things than to actually fix it.

Also, to voice my own opinion, I don't think (at least some of them) that they were referring to the wikia. The "Miku Formula" has become widespread even outside of the Wikia. I see the term on other sites. I think they were just ranting at the concept, not at the wikia. But, I have ranted much. I would like to say, don't let this get you down, and have a wonderful 28th Birthday. :3

96.247.225.173 21:40, May 12, 2012 (UTC)

unfortantely, at least 1 of them quoted something from the page in the topic before I said something... Even if its not directly related to the page, Xien had been on the wikia a brief moment and posted something similair as a editor here. Whether or not things were refer to, everyone knew what the topic was about and the origins of the term. Quite frankly, this was just a open nightmare.
I admit I was already postingless and less there anyway. They seemed to always want to question me completely, and I felt pressure to perform even in there. For example, while trying to get Meaw information pre-V3 release I got told about Akikoroid being private instead. So I knew from the word go she wasn't likely going to be released. When I mentioned this, I got a lot of hassle. It was a "friend of a friend" sort of routine, I do have people I can contact at a whim, sadly, not this particular link as we had an argument on new years day over something. I caught him at a bad moment. I was difficult to source the statement, it was one of 4 times I'd used him.
I also used to have 2 or 3 translators, but over time I was reduced to 0. I think I pestured one too much, one wasn't reliable enough and the other seemed to drop off the face of the earth. I can do translations myself but I'm slow and thrown back by complex or confusing statements. Things have become harder over time to regulate the wikia and keep up standards.
However, at this point I don't want to wish to talk about the event itself. I will say, sure there ARE mistakes on the wikia, but its a wikia and it happens.
Wikia are only meant to be a starting point for further reading, it presents all the information in front of you as the intrepretation of what is believed to be true at the time. However, it supplies sources so you can read for yourself and decide if its corect. If you think a statement is wrong, you correct it so it backs up the source better. This is how wikia work. They are themselves evoling pages and permament "WIP". When a wikia appears to have no flaws, I often question if the wikia is missing something. Some wikia, for example, have so little information on them that wikipedia is actually better then they are. Some are accurate, but have not bothered to source their information. Some are weighed down with hundreds of images and others are poorly researched. I've yet to see a wikia I can lean on and say its perfect, when considering the mother of all wikis wikipedia was estimated not so long ago to have 1 in 6 pages with errors on it. One-Winged Hawk 10:01, May 13, 2012 (UTC)

Take a vacation Edit

I read the Announcement board. :3 I won't mention the actual event, but I will say that I'm relieved that you decided to (eventually) stay (if I got that right). It's alright, everyone needs breaks from everything, especially when something becomes stressful. I'll say... keep your mind off it for a while, and be nice to yourself. It's always great to have someone as hardworking as you to keep us informed, but remember that you're a human. With the influx of V3 news which is constantly increasing, one person probably can't get all the infomation instantly. It's good to have fun, don't pressure yourself too much, and remember that there are other people on the wiki that will do some work too. xD

This is the motherly side of me talkin', but I say you should treat yourself nice by pampering yourself to relieve yourself of stress. And of course, taking care of yourself as well. Nice long baths, maybe with some bath salts or whatever, get a good night's sleep, eat well (both healthy and tasty is the way to go), go out for some sunshine and fresh air, play in the park (who says you can't when you're an adult?), just stuff like that. I'm sure this entire thing will someday feel less bad than it does now.

And, to end I shall say that Vocaloid has it's ups and downs. Right now you may hate it, but hopefully some time off of the stress of constant editing and hassle will change your opinion. Be less hard on yourself, 'kay? :3

Also I will try to find recruit some help. Adept-eX 00:29, May 15, 2012 (UTC)

Vb's currently released Edit

Hello, would you mind updating the answer wiki page Vocaloid currently released. Every time I attempt to count I get thrown off. I had to erase the old information about V3. -- Bunai82 (talk) 12:06, May 29, 2012 (UTC)

Re: Oh...
There seems to be errors everywhere as of late. The community central explains that some updates and things are going on. I actually wasn't able to read your message, until I did a "compare edit" view. Apparently we are in some kind of 'semi-read-only' mode. -- Bunai82 (talk) 13:14, May 30, 2012 (UTC)

Hello again! Edit

Hey hey! It's 96.247.225.173 again! You'll see my last post on your page just a little higher than this post. I just kinda lurk around on this wikia and Vocaloid places in general, but I've never really gotten an account here. xD; I've been an avid Vocaloid fan since December of 2007.

I read the bulletin board, and it's kinda sad having nowhere to fangirl. It's a part of every fandom right? Getting to gush about whatever cool things you like about whatever it is? Well, I'm not sure if this would be your kinda thing, but maybe we could be friends? :3 After all, I get kinda lonely in my Vocaloid passions sometimes, not having friends that are interested in either: a) Vocaloids, period or b) the techinical aspects of Vocaloid. I like to learn as much as I can about them, and am planning on trying my hand at being a Vocaloid user. And, if fate will allow it, a producer, should I get skilled at it. Vocaloids have quite inspired me, and I would very much like to become like the producers that make such wonderful music with them.

But, to get to the point... I was wondering if you'd like to be Voca-friends! 8D I know some people have this thing about not talking to strangers on the internet, but I figure, all people you are friends with now were strangers to you at the points before you met them. I'm a little shy on the internet, but I figured, it can't hurt to try and make friends anyway. The worst that could happen is that they'll say no. xD ...And maybe I should make a Vocaloid Wikia account...>_<

PS: My IP address may have changed because this is a laptop, and I move all over the place with it. Oh yes, and I have a Skype! Um, hmm, should I post it here? Aw, what the heck. My skype is "thedreamersriddle". I'll check back to see if you want to be friends. 8D

Hmm.... If this was pre-2006, Id instantly "friend" you. These days eveythings more on a bsiness level. don't have the ability to keep up with people in chat rooms and so forth, even my forum stuff was strickly business-like. Maybe I come off as too serious? I was very silly fangirl-like back in 2002-2006, to embarressing levels at times. What can I say, everyone grows up and what begins as silly squees becomes serious, almost nerd-levels , discussion instead. ^_^'
Its always good to have people become inspired to go into Vocaloid though.  :-) One-Winged Hawk 12:32, June 6, 2012 (UTC)

Only an Apology Edit

Hiya, Angel! Mijumaru-san here. :)

I'm so terribly sorry about the "signature song" posts that I've made a while back. I meant to say "most recognizable," but I didn't know which correct words to use at the time.

That said, I'm no new fan and I've known about Vocaloid for quite some time now; in fact, I'm a huge fan of Vocaloid and have been enjoying it to its fullest since 2010.

I hope I haven't offended you in any way saying this. ^^; Mijumaru-san 09:06, June 9, 2012 (UTC)

About the Language field in the Voicebank Infobox Edit

I'm going to modify the Voicebank Template. I will add a #switch parse funtion. In tha way, writting the language's name automatically should add the correspoding icon Adept-eX 15:08, June 13, 2012 (UTC)

Circus-PEdit

Ah, I only choose that song because it's definitely one of SONiKA's more popular original songs and she sounds really, really well tuned in Repeat II, I really don't have a problem with You Know it. I just wanted to switch things up a bit since I feel like that song has been there a while. Xeyuzio 21:29, June 18, 2012 (UTC)

About Naming Order Edit

Okay, I understand. Thanks for the explanation. :) Although I'm still wating for a response from Budai82. Mijumaru-san 19:15, June 21, 2012 (UTC)

information source?Edit

Dear Angel Emfrbl,

Hi. Thank you for your contribution. We are doing investigation about video deletion problem in Youtube for over 6 months. We found that some spread information was wrong regarding Google and Crypton issue. We are investigating why this was happen. I found that you wrote following information in this wikia in February 2012:

>[CFM reported they would investigate the claims and try to resolve the matter with Youtube.]

http://vocaloid.wikia.com/wiki/Save_Miku?oldid=71928

Q1) Where is the evidence to support this information regardng Crypton? Where did you get this information? Could you tell me?

We also found spam which is telling similar message. We would like to thank you for your kind cooperation. Evidence and information:

Re: I can't replyEdit

I understand completely. n_n Yes, its good racism should not be tolerated, but sometimes I think people need to be more aware of the specific definition of racism. People shouldn't get all touchy just mentioning someone is of a different race, or get mad at a comment saying that race isn't a reason to like someone more (which is a form of racism in itself, promoting someone because of their race) Really, the point is to be tolerant and accept the easy fact that it doesn't matter. ^-^

Yeah, its such a minefield. I think my head may have already been blown off, but I'll have to check the comments.

(It bugs me with religion, since although I don't mind at all what attitude people have personally, I am interested in the stories behind it, the creatures involved and suchlike. Its cool, but its so difficult to ask or discuss without someone assuming you are insulting something, or shushing you because it is a 'serious' subject. Mostly I have to stick to ancient religions, but the modern ones are just as interesting as myths and legends. D: I am quite a booky person, so I eat up tales and concepts. c[: )

Dizzyzebra (talk) 20:12, July 29, 2012 (UTC)

o: Thanks for the link. I'll have to watch that.

Yeah, I just...Some people sure do suck at religion. /(-_-)\

Deleted illegal linkEdit

I deleted the message with the link. About banning the IP, I saw the guy didn't posted it with bad intentions. The guy actually was reporting the blog.

I think a warn and encourage him/her to create an account would be enough. Now about the blog... We need see how report it to Yamaha. Adept-eX (talk) 19:41, August 8, 2012 (UTC)

Range BlockEdit

I'm considering to do a Range Block for stop the that annoying Spammer who lurks Merli's comment section. I've already checked the IPs, and all them only vary on their two last numbers.

What do you think I should do? Adept-eX (talk) 04:30, August 12, 2012 (UTC)

Useful stuffs that you can find in Internet Edit

Hey Angel! Check what I've found. A paper that talks about the perceptual phenomena in liguistic... basically why the Japanese tends to add a [u] or [o] for the single consonant in borrowed words. Quite interesting (and a good reference for various articles) Adept-eX (talk) 21:07, August 18, 2012 (UTC)

New Template Edit

Hey Angel, I did a new template for make easier the tabbers for the Galleries. Already I test it and I must say, it works fine 8D. For now, only allows to load 7 tabs, if it's required I will increase it. What do you think about it? =)

Also I want to ask. Should we use the Wikia's showcase gallery or should we continue using the Template:Gallery for the articles's Gallery section. I'm tempted change the galleries to the first one, but I don't know. I think we should listen to the other contributors, first. Adept-eX (talk) 04:40, September 3, 2012 (UTC)

A question Edit

I was trying to create a page for the song "Promise" and I found out that a page also titled Promise had been deleted in the past. Can I still make a page for it? BROOKLYN RAGE!...even though I'm not from Brooklyn. (talk) 23:46, September 14, 2012 (UTC)

Thanks. :) BROOKLYN RAGE!...even though I'm not from Brooklyn. (talk) 10:26, September 15, 2012 (UTC)

Hi Angel,

Frank Sanderson has asked me to be remove all text and pictures and references from his association with PowerFX and Big Al. I would be very appreciative if you respected his wishes and removed the link and picture.

Thank you kindly,

Bil Bryant

Bil, I appricate your concerned (if this is you), however, if you want things like this sorted you must post it in the forum, I am not even a admin nor a beaucrat. I don't know, I'm currently trying to break my common assoication as it is with the main assoication of this wikia. Please don't come to me directly, I do not represent the whole wikia nor do I wish to be, this wikia is a community built for fans of the vocaloid software and I've had enough trouble getting it through to people at Vocaloid Otaku forums, leding me to ressign as beaucrat to make this sort of information clear to the non-believers. Before this happened, I was accused of pretty uch being the wikia, which greatly upset me and is why I don't wish to handle things like this by myself; I'd rather include the other wikia editors here and let them handle this so they can be involved in the day to day runnings of the wikia.
But the issue is at hand anyway, even if we were to take it down, people know about it anyway and the information has been passed around; even we were just second-hand information even now and we were not the original source of this information. Our job is to collect the information thats known to the fandom; ditto its no different on wikipedia, and wikipedians will pretty much say a similair thing to you if you request them to take down information on the same subject.
A best beat would be to release a statement that would void our information, rather then request we take it down, because THAT is something that would render our information useless. I can't really say much else to help, as I said, wikipedia would throw out a similair statment and its got the same information on it. I didn't put that there, nor did I even (I think) put the information here at the wikia since it was before I came to the wikia.
I express my sorry for not being able to help directly, but as I said, I'm trying to distance myself from this wikia right now to satisfy the whim of some less then helpful people at VO forums, and this literally the only thing I can really say. These days all I'm here for is maintaince and the od comments, although I'm a regulaur, I'm not a die-hard editor anymore. I have not been for several months now. :-/ One-Winged Hawk (talk) 14:15, September 21, 2012 (UTC)

How long have you been interested in vocaloid?

As a serious subject, only October 2009. I owned a vocaloid in 2004. Not it matters, I moved home last year in July time and left that one behind. I left a lot of things behind last year saying that since I had 1 week to get out of my dad's house and couldn't retrieve everything I wanted. I did have that Vocaloi done briefly months before, but she didn't work (Lola) so I put her back in the loft and hence why I lost her. Doesn't matter what anyone says the original vocaloid software doesn't always work so well. :-/ One-Winged Hawk (talk) 10:09, October 4, 2012 (UTC)

According to Crypton's website, they aren't sharp notes, so that's why I removed them. ^^' AnimeCargirl (talk) 14:57, October 5, 2012 (UTC)

Renaming the Blacklist Edit

Hey Angel, I remembered that you expressed your corncern to rename the Blacklist because it sounds as an "ugly" label. I was thinking, why no rename it as List of Reports or Report Area. Adept-eX (talk) 20:38, October 5, 2012 (UTC)

hey angel Edit

174.111.249.34 13:43, October 11, 2012 (UTC)

hey angel i have seen alot of your comments and i know youre a pretty blunt if youre are gonna pop someones bubble(like mine with nerus voice cause she has one) you should try to be nicer i relise how much you contributed to wikia and i appreciate but you should try to be nice.and are wikia contributers like demi-gods where they have dyslexia or add or adhd cause you and nasuhime have dyslexia and i think i have adhd (i am not sure).and you should change your icon to something like this.

Erm... Its not an owl... No I'm not changing it... I like this cute little guy. I have no reason to change it. As for everything else... I'd rather come off as a little blunt and harsh then to sweeten the truth and lie. In other words I'm here to break Vocaloid myths; not support them. I don't know I think its my age difference more then anything cotruibuting, back int he early 00's when I was a teenager I was a lot more fun and bubbly and I joined in jokes a lot more often. But I'm 28 now, not 18, my "fun" years are over, in other words I'm more "mature" then then (how ever you define "mature"), yeah I make mistakes, I'm human and dyslexic, everyone has flaws thats mine.
I'm not too proud either to admit I'm not always spot on with things, its why at the end of the day I rely on others, I could never run this wikia when I was a beaucrat on my own and I found beaucrating too stressful to hold it up.  :-/ One-Winged Hawk (talk) 16:40, October 11, 2012 (UTC)

I didnt mean lie i meant stuff like "sorry not to burst youre bubble but akita neru has a voice even if it is someone else and toned differently toneing can do wonders so yahe again not to rain on youre parade" and stuff like that but still the truth and i am sorry i was kinda rude on the akita neru page i am just a big fan of hers and i will protect her forever and allways

Oh and sorry i thought it was a owl [[7]peace offering?]

I myself no offence to any Neru fans, I'm not a fn of fan-mades myself, I have been asking people to respeck others' opinions towards what their a fan of. True Neru isn't a vocaloid, but she still has signifance for what she represents. The value in her is "there" but a loot of folks put it in the wrong place. However, sadlty the wikia job is to get things out there and let the truth be known, so sometimes editors here, and the wikia itself can be a little cold in doing so. But, there are thousands of Vocaloids fans out there, and we've dealt with everything from bias to stupidity. So thus, sometimes we over step the mark and treat everyone the same, in a tone that is very much the cold-hearted truth. This is what I was trying to say before.
We're still learning to be more warmer, but please, frogive some of us, if you dealt with only a fraction of what we have to deal with you' understand why we tend to be a bit... you know... On certain issues. It cannot be helped and there are worst places out there then here at the wikia.
Also you should sign up, so we can know you more. There is also a Fanloid wikia link on the main page, which takes you to a wikia where Neru and co are the kings of their own wikia. Whereas here, their overshadowed by the real Vocaloids. :-/ One-Winged Hawk (talk) 09:38, October 12, 2012 (UTC)

yeah i am asking my dad for a e-mail account so i can sign in and i am sorry but i prefer to try i boost neru up at least to rin/len standards and what do you think about rin/len twins mirror images boyfriend/girlfreind or len being rin great grandfather?

and with the last comment i hope i made you laugh or at least snicker cause my goal in life is to 1)spread christianity 2) make neru known and more liked 3) make everbody i know laugh once

are you on or are you ignoring me?

and i see that you are not always mean and you probaply dont try yo be but its that you are only really nice to other wikia members and blunt to wikia comtributers and if you want to know about me i am 12 years old a boy tall for my age blonde with blue gray eyes vocaloid is my life i am christian i am friends with nasuhime my favorite vocaloids are len, neru, piko, and rin my favorite song is the first war aginst myself by piko and len i am a fan on fandom i a very ignorant unswayably and ,sadly, deeply opionated and i protect all of the things i love i am currently trying to get a e-mail accoutn so i can sign in and contribute and love anime life final fantasy sailor moon pretty cure bleach naruto one piece kingdom hearts and i love vocaloid i prefer manga to anime but most of all i am a christian otaku and i repeat myself and i hate haters and i love taylor swift and hillary duff

I don't want to sound rude and I'm not trying to be, so don't take this. I'm not ignoring you, but I don't always answer messages as soon as their written. sometimes no one intends to ignore others on wikias, but we can't always be here 24-7 and some folks might only visit us once or twice a week. Sure I'm here every day, but I tend to spend a lot of time reading over things to see whats been done since I last visit and go about so sometime my focus isn't on messages and its on editing.  :-D
12 is nothing, I've been in the beyblade fandom, we had kids as young as 8 in that fandom back in 2003. ;-)
I'm not a religious person, and I have to keep a more open mind. Religion to me is something I hold in one hand but I never put it in the other. Some guys on-line are easily offend and the last thing you need is a fury of hypocrits telling you "You are the spawn of hell", not that I have. The wrost I ever had was some American priest in a message board telling me as I was British I was part of that cult that worshipped the Bishop and all that crap. He never DID answer my question... Kinda just ranted on about things not on topic. ^_-
I'm not against Neru fans, but people need to figure out what she means to the Voclaoid fandom, many live under false pretendance rather then acceptance and yet acceptance brings peace within the fandom. One-Winged Hawk (talk) 18:51, October 14, 2012 (UTC)

Larval Rin and Shiteyanyo Edit

Since Larval Rin and Shiteyan'yo are only available on Project Diva as background skins, I was thinking about deleting their pages and moving the contents to Derivatives. Either that or Project Diva page itself. Because there is little that can be said about them on this wiki. I can redirect their names to Fanloid instead or whatever page the content ends up on. The exception with Calne is that was marketed outside of PD. -- Bunai82 (talk) 19:56, October 15, 2012 (UTC) eta Do you mind if I archive your talk page? -- Bunai82 (talk) 20:11, October 15, 2012 (UTC)

re:hey angelEdit

and i was wondering who is your favorite vocaloid the only english i know are oliver and luka and luki(if you consider him one) and piko speaks some english in the first war against myself but thats it. and know you said you arent a fan of fanmades but i was wondering who is youre favorite and who is you favorite of vocaloid china? and what is youre favorite song and how old are you and what is youre gender? well the unwritten(typed?)4th life goal for me is to make as many friends as i can that probaply came from when i lived in englend it was misreble i didnt have and friends i dont like history museams and the weather was horrible for THREE STICKEN YEARS ONLY 12 DAYS WAS IT NOT RAINY OR COLD TWEEEELVE DAAAAYS. well any what state do you live in? i live in north carolina.

P.S. do you like final fantasy

P.P.S still trying to make you laugh!pls tell me if i did

There is no Luki.... Piko can't do English... I have no favourite fanmades. Tonio is my favourite Vocaloid, 2nd Big Al. I'm 28 years old, female. England is not perfect but better then most places in the world. If you spent 3 years in the UK, you should know the weather ain't perfect nor is it glorious, but some places are better then others. Where did you live? There is more in the UK then that... Okay, Carolina is prob. sunnier, but its better then snow all year round and you get used to it. You appricate sunny days more when they do come.
I live in Norfolk. One-Winged Hawk (talk) 15:44, October 19, 2012 (UTC)

i used to live in a little village/town called pinner 174.111.249.34 11:45, October 20, 2012 (UTC)

and sorry i didnt mean to be disrespectfull it just i was homeschooled and my mom loves history so we went to a history museam almost everyday and i dont really like history museams and. You like beyblade pls tell me the old series cause i dont really like the new one

I'm not offended, I just found it a bit odd of a reaction. You worry too much. You've not thrown insults directly at me so why would I be even the slightest bit offended? ^_^
I was there when G-Revolution was released in English, watching it and squeeling... Yeah... Everyone's allowed to be a fangirl/boy once in their life. Even if I found the new series appealing, I'm now past those days, being 28 and not a teenager anymore. Things were better when there was bit-beasts in it. Miond you, yugioh was like that, 5D was in my opinion better then the original since it had more plot and in-depth storyline. Jaden's GX series can toss itself off a cliff... One-Winged Hawk (talk) 11:57, October 20, 2012 (UTC)

i actually like the original better and i prefer gx to 5ds cause i just prefer it that way i quess i am deathly afriad i will offend alot of people with anything i do i dont know why just a thing and i am a bit paraniod and i like big al to i forgot to mention and my favorite for vocaloid china is moke i quess i havent listen to them yet but i like his desine end personality

btw oyu can tell you are one of the best on vocaloid wiki because of your talk page and how big it is 174.111.249.34 14:35, October 20, 2012 (UTC)

Well yugioh is better as a card game then as a TV series, that much I'kll agree on. However, I prefer to play it on a video game version, its cheaper and means I don't have to store 7,000+ cards... Which is the number of cards I have on the 2010 DS game. I must admit I feel uncomfortable judging languages with just 1 vocal for them, I often feel bad about saying stuff about SeeU for that reason but it is why I'd prefer they make a friend for SeeU then a english library.
I think the size of my talk page as more to do with time been here and amount of editing I've done in the past, plus I was once beaucrat. I used to attempt all sorts of things to try and get this wikia to take off, many I'm not proud of. I have always been fairly nervous about being involved with any community since I've been in several where several dramas tore things apart. I've left Volaoid Otaku forums after one such drama, I'm not usually involved with them but it seems to be it happens in whatever forums I'm in. Worst is still by far dragon caves, though I mention it I'm too angry over what happened to talk about it anymore. Its in the past, and since I've gone back to the site recently, I don't want to stir up trouble since I sided with what most cavers would have considered the wrong person to side with. One-Winged Hawk (talk) 16:47, October 23, 2012 (UTC)

i kinda understand i hate getting in over my head so i am not really commenting anymore for now and i am working on vocaloid lyrics wiki with nasuhime and E.o.M.01

Kaiko Edit

Want me to delete Kaiko page? Crypton doesn't seem to acknowledge genderswaps, no matter how popular they are. Unless that Tweet and be expanded on? -- Bunai82 (talk) 21:30, October 29, 2012 (UTC)

Hmm... It seemed like a good idea at the time, but with no further mentions beyond that tweet I don't know. Your right I guess. I'm bout to sig off, shouldn't Larvel Rin be safe on here too? Just asking since I'm LITERALLY about to sign off, I'll read any messages in the morning. One-Winged Hawk (talk) 22:06, October 29, 2012 (UTC)
I moved Shiteyan'yo and Larval Rin to the Derivative page because their content was short. They don't exactly have Calne Ca's status being outside of Project Diva. But oddly Calne Ca is not as popular as them. It took quite a while before the Japanese fandom warmed up to her, since praise for her was mostly coming from English speaking fans.
I'll check one more time for Kaiko on Crypton's end, and if I can't find anything else I'll delete the page. But I actually do hope that they look beyond the purpose and see her as a character. So far only Artech has shown to like genderswaps. -- Bunai82 (talk) 22:38, October 29, 2012 (UTC)
eta Obviously deleted the page lol. I found no true connection of Kaiko with Crypton, and even the Japanese fandom wondered about it. There were some arguments of disliking gender change by the company. Of course speculation, but it is noticeable. And that early image of Kaiko's design was deleted by the artist with statements of there being no gender change (or something around those lines). Very weird.
I was thinking about directing Kaiko's page to the Derivative page because between her and Mikuo they are the most known and popular. And also, I was wondering why I kept seeing the main Vocaloids connected to the Fanmade page, turns out the "Fanmade Vocaloids based from "Vocaloid"" is still on the page 0_o;; lol oops. Would you like it completely removed or would you like me to link to the Fanloid wiki with it? -- Bunai82 (talk) 15:16, October 30, 2012 (UTC)
Do what you feel most past for both wikias, though redirect is prob. the best approach rather then flat out deletion. One-Winged Hawk (talk) 15:46, October 30, 2012 (UTC)
Yeah, remove it. I can just link it from derivatives if I can think of a layout. -- Bunai82 (talk) 15:52, October 30, 2012 (UTC)

Deleted page - CV04Edit

Why was this deleted? I went to link it from the Nav template and noticed it was gone.

That and the info in it could have been used for the Answer wiki. -- Bunai82 (talk) 15:47, October 31, 2012 (UTC)

I thought its best to reduce the page until we got more information, his been nothing more then a code. the other issue was, I didn't see "CV04" written anywhere, but I did see his listed as "next male vocal" and "next character vocal" so technically he hasn't been called that yet. Maybe you know otherwise, but for now his pretty much known as just "next male vocal". I left it on Status until further notice, it felt like things were open to speculation.
You prob. disagree, but I regarded at the time as "CV04" as a little buit too much speculation for my confort, we needed proof that CFM called him that. I did, however, find out he isn't part of the origtinal CV plan since they had Miku, Luka and the Kagamine's planned, so he seems to have been a late addition. I don't know, with a lot of mystery surrounding him, I kinda want him to stay on Status until CFM is done and ready for him. the proto-type vocal-flex and project if are different matters as they "complete" in terms of all current known data and do pocess offical names. We can't really go much wrong with them and there is no speculation room because of it. :-/ One-Winged Hawk (talk) 16:43, October 31, 2012 (UTC)
Thank you for the reply ^_^
I guess I can leave a black link or redirect it to the status page. I got confused since another page with a similar title was deleted, and it was basically spam. -- Bunai82 (talk) 19:10, October 31, 2012 (UTC)

Infobox voicebank Edit

I just noticed that the reason the dates are not showing up is because the parameters were done in lowercase form, while the parameters on the page were done with a capitals. -- Bunai82 (talk) 23:52, November 5, 2012 (UTC)

On another note Edit

I went nutso with the Answer wiki and peoples constant need to ask about Rin and Len.

I made a 'notice/relationship' template that links to all the pages that ask question about two Vocaloids being paired in any manner. I will be organzing the Answer wiki for another month, since I missed like an entier summers worth of wiki time due to my computer. People can make additions to the pages if they feel an answer should be given (even though it repeats), but that template must remain. I will end up locking pages form creation when it comes to that 'lower case bypassing'. -- Bunai82 (talk) 04:41, November 6, 2012 (UTC)

I laughed when I saw it. XD
Okay, I know its been rather annoying lately on the nswer wikia so I had been trying to help out myself when I could find the time. The other issue I find with it, is that there are often incorrect answers given. Or people swap out the correct ones with incorrect ones.
At the very least, when a correct answer is given, the answer also needs to be locked ASAP.  :-/ One-Winged Hawk (talk) 10:59, November 6, 2012 (UTC)

What part of the Vocaloid template is not being used Edit

I plan to rebuild it based on whatever parameter is not in use.

I also want to use a hid function on the section headers. If not that, then I will make a template that can be manipulated like the default template with its "TitleRow" and "InfoRow" options. -- Bunai82 (talk) 15:36, November 11, 2012 (UTC)

Be my quest, I would have no other ideas myself otherwise and if you have more ideas then its fine. Since we've got a new Vocaloid, my focus for the next week si seeing what comes out of Avanna, therefore my focus is on her right now mostly. With new vocaloids you never know when the next bit of information will come out. :-/ One-Winged Hawk (talk) 16:11, November 11, 2012 (UTC)
lol quest
For now I'll just go through the pages and add lowercase to the parameter, also 'Developer' changed to 'Company'... totally forgot why I did that. I guess when the other Misc. Vocaloids came about it was harder to pin who exactly was developing them.
I will assume 'origin' is no longer in use. And then the 'JAN code' parameter to consider removing, since Vocaloid has gone beyond being a Japanese product now, and Crypton isn't going to distribute every Vocaloid they are competing against. When it was just CFM and ZeroG it was cute, now it is virtual "fisticuffs" lol. -- Bunai82 (talk) 16:53, November 11, 2012 (UTC)
I can only blame dyslexcia since I mixed up G and Q and wrote "quest" instead of "guest". God, I hope I don't start doing that all over the place from now on, usually when I make a mistake I continue doing it because I've "learnt"! the spelling. =_=
I usually don't alter information boxes as its not something I'm focused on, the most I do is add new ones to pages and try and do a rough attempt at playing with colours to start us off. Its not I don't understand the coding, its that owed to the dyslexcia situation, over the years I've had to retire from writing out codes from scratch since I've made too many blunders I couldn't fix. Now, the best I can safely do is Copy and PAste someone elses' code from one place to another. The mistakes I kept on making sap most of my confidence away in playing heavy with wiki codes back in 2007 when less clumsey editors came to the One Piece wikia who didn't trip over their own finger tips. Even when I came here, I said I'd only prompt up this wikia until I was no longer needed and better editors came along, because I'm aware of what went down in the past.
Neverless, I still have ideas and thoughts and advice at times.... The codes are mostly redundant, yes, though product code itself (CV01 for itself, or ZG-V6) are still useful. Though I think they belong these days more with the voicebank sections then in the info box. The codes bit is pretty much just left overs from the era when we used to write up the optimum range and tempo data stuff in the information box. However, when Appends became a regular thing and the updating of voicebanks occured, these sections could no longer sit comfortably in the information box.
Also, I know I recently added the genre categories on vociebank templates... May I enquire if you can give me your thoughts on them? I kinda want to add these sort of things to the templates, but I'm not sure they've been done in a suitable way. :-/
Also... Not signing your posts? You noob Bunai (J/k lol XD). One-Winged Hawk (talk) 17:06, November 11, 2012 (UTC)
lol. I get so focused on typing I believe I add the tildes. This usually happens when I type a full sentence, then keep rereading it till I get it how I want it.
I'll be keeping the 'Reduced number'. On Crypton it is 'Reduced/Short code' (in Japanese it is various versions of reduction etc), not sure if I should copy that or just leave it as is. It was the original admin who did the whole infobox anyway. And yeah, it got confusing and pointless when the additional voice banks appeared... its like a messy catalog now lol. So Additional Info may disappear in favor of Affiliation and Reduced number being moved to the Product section.
Adding the 'Genre' does give the missing parameter something to do heh. But isn't it just Crypton, ZeroG, and PowerFX that have this? -- Bunai82 (talk) 17:51, November 11, 2012 (UTC)
Unfortantely, sometimes critics like to tug at things that were done pre-the current editors. Though we SHOULD have sorted things out, we don't always notice things. We can only do our best, nothing less and nothing more and no one here is committed to stick aroudn or edit to begin with. As for things to do with the information box. Info boxes are pretty much just a quick look up, so they should be relatively easy to read and to the point with the essental information. Priority changes all the time on information, as the previous append example proved, I don't think we can function without the voicebank templates so their the easily method of setting up a page. I can't really say though what belongs specifically on info box or the voicebank boxes, as its up to the editors judgements here. But, I will note that updates *might* not have the same codes as the original so things MIGHT be better off in voicebank sections in regard to things like CV-01 and so fourth.
Oh heres one for the books too; AT vo forums when I used to visit there, I kept trying to write the 4 "~" at the end of my posts. XD One-Winged Hawk (talk) 18:24, November 11, 2012 (UTC)
After torturing myself with the coding, I managed to get things stable. So all the parameters function. I will work on image, font size, and box size later.
You can now use two hide options for Vocaloids that do not have bio stats. So that takes care of VY series. There are now lines to make things a bit easier to pick out.
I was unsure to keep the Reduced number to the Vocaloid box or the voicebank box. My suggestion is to keep it to the Vocaloid box. Just see how it goes. -- Bunai82 (talk) 23:39, November 11, 2012 (UTC) eta spoke too soon on the hidden header thing. Doesn't seem to work on this wiki. I'll ask the CommunityCentral what is wrong.

Sorry for sticking it here, but that message was getting too long and I couldn't work out how many ":" to use. XD

I saw the results just briefly, it might be we've not got something switched on or our version of the wikia system uses a different code variantion (some wikias have plug-ins/mods implimented into them too, don't know if any of the wikia wikis have this though). One-Winged Hawk (talk) 08:31, November 12, 2012 (UTC)

With help from central, someone showed that it was a quotation that was the issue and they fixed it. I copied that to the voicebank template. It should work now. And apparently you don't need to type 'none', just anything and it will hide the header. Woo, I am learning so much. I wish I could get through a template without depending on others but oyi... I am not that skilled with Wikia yet. I will continue to learn over time.
I may swap out the table for voicebank with the original one, just to see if that can downsize the box a bit. -- Bunai82 (talk) 15:43, November 12, 2012 (UTC)
If you didn't have the problem fixed by now, I was going to make "please excuse us, maintaince in progress" notice on the front page. Still, I'm glad your onot it. :-)
I've been looking after my landlady today, she is ill, so aside from updating name sections, I've not been able to do much. She lost one of her cats on Friday and it only hit home last night. The cat was on her bed (except for things like food and kitty litter moments of course) for over 8 years, nt to mention the cat was one of the last links to her husband who died 2 years ago. My landlady had no sleep last night at all and there is consquences today... Caught her doing on-line gambling this morning to try and drown out her miseries. And the whole day sleep has been catching up with her. Yeah... Its one of THOSE days. ^_- One-Winged Hawk (talk) 17:15, November 12, 2012 (UTC)

Hey Edit

Do you know about this wiki?

Not sure what to think or the reason for its creation (besides the obvious). -- Bunai82 (talk) 06:43, December 1, 2012 (UTC)

What? Competing with our own? I wouldn' worry about it anyway, instead of trying to compete with it, its best just to focus on doing stuff here. The one thing they can't be is both a carbon copy of our wikia and copy everything we have here (our files, they have to gather their own versions of everything), so its best to chill and be cool about it. From experience, most of the other wikias for vocaloid that were set up to do the things we do fizzzled anyway. The only thing would be to watch, is that it doesn't become a place to sling mud at us, we don't need inter-wiki fighting. Plus the other thing is, being so new, they don't have any editors yet which limits things a little nor do they have established visitors, so for a while it'll be very slow for the other wikia. We've got about a thousand pages and have lots of things covered already. :-/
So yeah, just focus on being what we are and not on them, don't let our members compete or start fights or even react here to its actions that might intrude on our own. Its okay to talk, but keep critism tamed as we DON'T want another situation with VO forums, only with us being the critics. As for the regulaurs, we just need to focus on the current wikia, ignoring that one and let things play out. And no matter what keep things CLEAN, we should be encouraging others to attempt to promote vocaloid, even if its just to start up another wikia. After all, that was one of our primary goals when I came here and it will always be.
I can't really much, its newly created and hasn't even got a single page up yet, it could be just a creation for the sake of creation and there is no worry at all. As I said, a lot of wikia fizzle out and so far no vocaloid wikia besides our wikia and its circle has managaed to maintain any projects long enough to get established.  :-/ One-Winged Hawk (talk) 08:40, December 1, 2012 (UTC)
Well, that was an encouraging speech XD
It's just a bit bothersome that a previous editor doesn't want to contribute here anymore when they were quite active before. I have no problems with two wikis on the same subject, the more the merry etc, etc. But you kind of want it to build on its own without the content importing from various wikis, by that point it just Frankenstein-ing.
It reminds me of when people got all upset over the mlp wiki following canon format about a background pony and decided to just copy every last page to a non-wikia. It was just a silly move and the person who headed it was a former sysop (if I remember correctly). -- Bunai82 (talk) 16:22, December 2, 2012 (UTC)
We're allow to share the same information, as there is only so many ways you can enter data into a wiki page. I've been in that situation myself before with the One Piece wikipedia pages back in 2006. Some idiot decided to claim the wikipedia pages were copying his website because one or two lines were identical to the website and the page got deleted from wikipedia. Thing is... We didn't copy his website and I got peeved because I was the one who entered it. But... We had other issues with the guy even when we moved over to the actualy wikia. He cursed us and ranted over us calling a movie 'canon' because Oda wrote it, but Oda had wrote it TO be canon, even wrote Chapter 0 to aolidify its placement in One Piece timeline. Then again, Greg is an ass...
He also didn't like it when some folks decided to upload images from his website, though I pointed out he didn't actually own One Piece and while people should not be doing that by law and all, he pretty much didn't have muchof a leg to stand on, since there were other issues he hadn't taken into account. There are 'ways' to get around the copying of other websites anyway, not I would stoop to that level but I know them because I've seen them in action. :-/
Back to the point (Sorry, I went off, Greg sort of really pissed me off and I tend to go off about him), another wikia being set up is an issue I can deal with, hence what I said. The anti-wikia guys are a bigger issue because their excluding themselves from helping the wikia completely and want no part of it. At least the wiki-edtors at another wikia are in the same business of editing... That, we can deal with any day fo the week. Its also possible for the two wikia to communicate on friendly terms anyway, two wikia can be set up with different goals and share information without problems. Anti-wiki guys kinda don't trust our pages, even when we get it right, I've seeen folks in other fandoms also take everything on a wiki page as a lie and not believe it... :-/ One-Winged Hawk (talk) 16:52, December 2, 2012 (UTC)

I deleted it, I am not in a good mood
I will restore it or just simplify it down to the most basic form. -- Bunai82 (talk) 10:25, December 29, 2012 (UTC)
Bad mood?
Don't blame you then, that page brought me no end of trouble as it was when I was a beaucrat.
I'm relieved though, feels like a gentle breeze has blown by and removed all the autumn leaves from the ground.One-Winged Hawk (talk) 11:18, December 29, 2012 (UTC)
At least it was a motivator to complete some templates and pages.
Anyway, I called it Noindex, at least the name hints at what can't be done. I'll attempt to make it less dictating and more aimed at editors of the wiki.

On another note. -- Bunai82 (talk) 18:39, December 30, 2012 (UTC)

Global jsEdit

Since you edit and view in monobook a lot, some times you need to view Oasis to see the placement of things, such as images. For example, the interface image in Miriam / Kaito's voicebank section resulted it squishing the words at the top. I had to move it below the 'weakness' section. So if you want, add this to your personal JS to click between the pages, it doesn't change your preference it just changes the url.

Skin switch button -- Bunai82 (talk) 18:39, December 30, 2012 (UTC)

I'm somewhat glad at times they abandoned the ability to set up unique templates per vocaloid. As nice as it was, tracking down all 6 examples of the interface was a bitch for one or two of the vocals like Leon. :-/ One-Winged Hawk (talk) 18:13, December 31, 2012 (UTC)
The voicebank section was better than the other way. Look at it in Oasis. -- Bunai82 (talk) 19:27, December 31, 2012 (UTC)
You referring to the stuff I just did? One-Winged Hawk (talk) 19:44, December 31, 2012 (UTC)
Edit; ignore that, I forgot what I was replying to and I broke my concentration, leading a mental mix-up. X_X One-Winged Hawk (talk) 19:45, December 31, 2012 (UTC)
This didn't work out very well, what I did on Leon's page, I honestly have no idea how to make it work... I always Leon's page for big experiments like this though because he is one of the vocaloid less likely to have anyone talk about him then most of the other vocaloids. One-Winged Hawk (talk) 19:58, December 31, 2012 (UTC)
With how wiki coding works, you likely won't be able to keep them separate as they are now, because while one looks fine on the Oasis skin it doesn't duplicate well to the Monobook version.
If you don't plan to tweak the template much, then I suggest either reverting it back to how it was or just place the voicebank template within the strength/weakness template. -- Bunai82 (talk) 20:00, December 31, 2012 (UTC)
Leave it for now, I'll try and play with again tomorrow (about to go to a new years party)... I also tried the inside of the template too, but in preview it doesn't work so well.  :-/ One-Winged Hawk (talk) 20:08, December 31, 2012 (UTC)

Ah, fixed the problem... Turns out I was making this far too complex then it needed to be, and all I needed to do was add one line of that coding I tried to add. O_o One-Winged Hawk (talk) 00:59, January 1, 2013 (UTC)

Long story sort, the problem was just the use of "clr" template in the wrong places... But why were they there in the first place, I can't remember.. One-Winged Hawk (talk) 01:15, January 1, 2013 (UTC)

Don't Worry Edit

Too many messages have been ignored for me to hold it against people. ;-) One-Winged Hawk (talk) 08:09, January 15, 2013 (UTC)

Piano Sheet Music?Edit

I found this book that was recently released: ピアノ・ソロ ボカロ・ベスト・ヒッツ (Piano Solo Vocaloid Best Hits). I'm pretty sure it's a sheet music book, but wanted to ask you before adding it. ~ LaZMMiSY (talk) 11:17, January 25, 2013 (UTC) ~

Looks like it, I'll have to sort it out tomorrow. Tomorrow is a general catch-up day for me.
I wish this was a little easier for everyone, the books tend to get really badly ignored by the fandom. :-/ One-Winged Hawk (talk) 18:57, January 25, 2013 (UTC)

Is there an issue? Edit

I reported it (tabber) as a bug to the wikia staff you can file one too if you want, because this isn't just happening here it is site wide for me. They say they are going to look into it. -- Bunai82 (talk) 22:59, February 4, 2013 (UTC)

Why?Edit

why are you removing all the voicebank information? 72.87.140.90 06:23, March 13, 2013 (UTC)

Its going on their own pages. One-Winged Hawk (talk) 09:51, March 13, 2013 (UTC)

Vocaloid topics in forumsEdit

Any other reasons beside "I hated it"?

I can use them for something else if there are any ideas. -- Bunai82 (talk) 18:17, March 18, 2013 (UTC)

Perhaps I can move them to the QA module or even create another module specifically for them. I am picturing someone coming alone and going "Lets talk about Miku", and then another person doing the same thing rather than using a topic already created. lol someone created Kaito topic without the question being specifically aimed at Kaito, so I had to move it. -- Bunai82 (talk) 19:52, March 19, 2013 (UTC)

Oc pages need deletionEdit

Ms Angel, this page and this page  need to be deleted because they're obviously OCs and belong on Fanloid wiki

Re: Question Edit

I haven't run into this problem, but perhaps the forums react as the wiki does when you create or publish edits in rapid session. I guess there is a cool down. -- Bunai82 (talk) 15:34, April 1, 2013 (UTC)

Re:Concern Edit

I believe the page to be fine as it is based on what the program does. I am under the impression that was the purpose of the page in the first place.

If there are "threatening" comments then do bring it up with the admins so they can delete them, I don't search every comment section daily. The user in question is under Wikia's policy and they can't do anything else. We're not going to punish ourselves for providing information about software that violates Yamaha / Studio's policy.

If people are blaming us for doing something right, then they can go elsewhere. -- Bunai82 (talk) 21:04, May 3, 2013 (UTC)
